　夕方、新幹線に飛び乗り東京へ。
　気の合う仲間との今年最後の忘年会。

　途中の夕食を退け出し、友人・辰巳琢郎氏に誘われて、彼の長女・真理恵さんのオペラコンサートにも出没。
　彼の娘への優しい眼差しは、やはり父親なのだ。
　私も子供の頃から彼女を知っているので涙がでるくらいの感動だった。

　毎年のこの時期、旧友と友情を確かめ合いながら新しい年がやってくる。友達っていいなぁ。本当に！

　I board the Shinkansen in the evening and I went to Tokyo.
　This year with my old friends who gets along well, every year-end party.
　I begin to escape dinner for the opera concert with Actor Tatsumi Takuro.
　Because his daughter Marie was attended for that concert.
　He gently looked to his daughter as a lovely daughter.
　I knew her from child's time, so it was the deep impression also.

　Every year we are making sure of our old old friendship each other. And then new year comes.
　Friend is great!. Really!

　2016年 私は現代美術家として世界へ始動する。
　時を同じくして350年の伝統をも守り抜く覚悟でもある。

　具体作家・前川強氏、そして世界で注目されるギャラリスト・白石幸生氏へ私の意気込みを語らせて頂いた。
　来年、飛躍できるよう努力を惜しまない。

　Art Collectors' it appeared quite big on a new year issue.

　I start to challenge to the world as contemporary artist from 2016.
　It's also the resolution time which strongly continue to the 350 years tradition.

　I talked with Gutai Artist, Mr. Tsuyoshi Maekawa and one of well known Gallery owner Mr. Yukio Shiraishi about my decision.
　I will try the best and will put all my energy.

　建築家の隈研吾氏がデザインした新国立競技場が２０２０年東京五輪・パラリンピックのメイン会場となることが決まった。

　隈研吾氏とは長い間の友人でもあり嬉しいニュースだ。
　我家の立礼茶室、大樋ギャラリーや、美術館アプローチなども設計して頂いている。

　「世界の人々に感動を与えるメインスタジアム、そして次世代に誇れるレガシーになることだろう。

　最後に大切なことを言いたい。
　成功していく人を負の理論でとかく攻撃しがちな日本社会、これを機に改めていってはどうだろうか？

　It was decided that new National Stadium the architect designed Kuma Kengo,
　becomes a main stadium of Tokyo Olympics and paralympics in 2020.

　He is also my many years of friend, and it's wonderful news.
　Also he designing tea-ceremony room in my home, Ohi gallery and Ohi museum approach.

　"That it'll be the main stadium where people of the world deeply admired and it must be Legacy for
　next generation with Japanese pride.

　I'd like to say a thing important to the end. which often attacks a succeeding person by negative theory and it is
　the chance for changing the Japanese society from this occasion.

 



　朝、竣工式が行なわれ、同時にショールーム内における私のアートシーンも誕生した。

　長寿、安全祈願のシンボルとなれば幸いだ。

　東京での会食まで多少の時間があったので、この展覧会ついに見れた。
　彼が言う I have an idea。妥協がない。
　でもみんな天才になれる可能性を秘めている。そんな気がした。

　There was a little time until dinner with friend in Tokyo, so this exhibition could be seen at last.
　I have an idea he says. It is without compromise.

　But a possibility that everyone can be a genius is kept. Such intention I could feel it.

 



　金沢 早朝に家を出たが、みぞれ混じりの突風。
　京都 10時に着いたが、晴天。やはり都は違う。
　東京 都内はコートもいらない。

　今、新幹線に乗れば大切な要件を1日で済ませることが出来る。でも、気候は大違い。
　昔、こんな経験、誰もできなかっただろうな。。。

　Kanazawa I left the house early in the morning, bad weather of a sleet mixture.
　Kyoto I have arrived at 10:00, clear sky. I feel like a that is why it used to be the capital.
　Tokyo I don't also need a coat in

　Now when taking the Shinkansen, it's possible to finish an important matter in 1 day.
　But the climate is very different.
　Before no one would be able to do such experience .

 



　９人の上海からの美術関係者の訪問を受け、様々なリクエストを頂いた。

　上海工芸美術デザイン学院の講師として招聘を受けた。また、来年5月、日中韓の美術展への招待作家として上海に招かれた。

　上海もこれから私の拠点となるかもしれない。有難い事だ。

　I received 9 persons concerned of fine arts from Shanghai and received various requests.
　Invitation was received as a lecturer of Shanghai Art and Design Academy.
　Also I was invited to Shanghai Invitation artist to an art exhibition in Japan China and South Korea in May of next year.

　Shanghai may be also my base now. It's that I'm thankful.

 



　1998年から始まったこの授業も今年度で17回目。
　金沢大学に留学している学生を対象に日本文化を教えている。
　まずは茶道の体験。以後、5回にわたり講義をする。

　フランス、ポーランド、アイルランド、ルーマニア、中国、タイ、フィリピンなど
　世界各国からの学生が聴講してくれる。金沢での思い出をたくさん持ち帰ってほしい。
　私のボストン大学留学時代が懐かしい。

　This class which has started from 1998,it is the 17th time.
　I am teaching that Japanese culture for the foreign student in Kanazawa University.
　First, experience of a tea ceremony. I will teach them a lecture over that 5 times.

　A student from all the countries attends France, Poland, Ireland, Romania, China, Thailand and Philippines.
　I want them to bring many memories in Kanazawa.
　I'm still remembered for my Boston university studying age.

 



　早朝に七尾に行った。
　現在、石川トヨタで大きなアートワークを制作中。
　途中、車道真ん中をゆっくり歩く老女を発見
　それでも横を平気で走り去る車がいる
　何も無かったかのように、、、
　日本は大丈夫なのだろうか？

　I went to Nanao City in Ishikawa Pref. in the morning.
　I am making a big art work at Toyota now.
　I found the old woman who walks in the middle of the roadway slowly.
　Still the car run to drive off from her side calmly.
　There was nothing, 、、、.
　Is Japan all right?

 



　久しぶりの晴天の金沢。
　金沢城周辺を歩いた。
　ここでよく野球をやった。
　ある時、この壁を登って降りれなくなった。沢山の人が集まり消防士に助けられたことがある。

　私の幾つかのタイムスリップする大切な残像。観光化してほしくない。

　Kanazawa was clear sky after a long time. I walked around the Kanazawa castle.
　I often played baseball here. When having that,
　I could climb this wall but not possible to get any more off.
　A lot of people gather and it has been helped by a fireman.
　I have some important places in Kanazawa.
　I don't want these memories to become sightseeing places.

 



　今まで食べた蟹達！上には上があった！でもこれまで、ありがとう！

　福井県産越前蟹には、特別の優れたものだけに「極」という称号が与えられる。
　福井の仲間が我々の為だけに仕入れてくれた開花亭での夕食は、圧巻だった。

　There was a top to the top! But thank you very much for my crab eaten so far!

　A title as "Extreme " is given by Echizen Crab get in Fukui Pref to only something excellent special.
　Dinner from basically crab Fukui's products got only for our dinner.

 



　金沢の「小松弥助」
　職人・森田一夫氏の鮨は、銀座・久兵衛の先代が「日本一の鮨を握る職人」といわしめた。
　そんな名人も84歳となり、引退の日を決めたのだ。
　彼との約束で、最後の客となった私。

　いつもと変わらぬ手捌きと、特別な会話で握られていく
　いか、炙りトロ、甘エビ、煮ハマグリ、漬け、バイ貝、ウニとろ丼、うなきゅう、、、、、

　彼の出立は実に美しい。そして私の五感が全開する。

　「弥助の親父」とは不思議な縁で結ばれている。
　14年間、互いの意地の張り合いで喧嘩もした。
　和解後の18年間は、素晴らしい友情に満ち溢れてきた。
　そして、深く尊敬の念を私は抱いている。
　そんな経験は人生に一度もない。

　今まで数々の友人と連客した。
　勅使河原宏氏、加山又三氏、坂東三津五郎氏、川島なお美さん、
　亡くなってしまった知人をも思い出しながら、感動の中で食した時間でもあった。

　そして全てを終えて、彼はそっと包丁を置いた。
　それを「包丁納め」と彼は言った。
　その瞬間を見納めることが出来たことは光栄なことだ。

　金沢の「小松弥助」は幕を閉じた。
　しかし、必ず彼は何処かに復活する。私はそう確信する。

　私達二人だけの「包丁納め」

　" Komatsu Yasuke " in Kanazawa
　The first head of Ginza Kyuubee made call that Mr. Kazuo Morita "the craftsman who grasps the best of Japan sushi”.

　For 14 years, we quarreled about fun of the mutual pride.
　18 years after reconciliation have brimmed over with wonderful friendship.
　And I'm holding a sense of respect deeply.
　I never share such experience in my life.

　The ream visitor was made many friends so far.
　Mr. Teshigawara Hiroshi, Mr. Kayama Matazou, Mr. Bando Mitsugoro, Ms. Kawashima Naomi,
　they passed away and remembered, too. It was also a time from that impression.

　We finished everything, and he put a Sushi Knife quietly.
　He called that Sushi Knife Closing ".
　It's honor that it was possible to see the moment for his last ceremony.

　" Komatsu Yasuke " in Kanazawa has ended.
　But he restores somewhere certainly. I'm convinced.

　朝、延岡から宮崎空港、福岡空港、小松空港、金沢へ帰る。本来なら翌日の予定だった。
　何故なら、午後に大切な客人が我家を訪問されることになったからだ。
　グレン・アダムソン氏はニューヨークアート＆デザインミュージアムのディレクターだ。
　現在この美術館では、日本の工芸展が開催されており、先般の訪問の際には大変お世話になった。
　彼は日本の美術、工芸、陶芸にもとても造詣が深かった。そして、茶碗を手造りされたのだが、実に手慣れたものだった。
　同行された秋元雄史・金沢21世紀美術館館長も大変に驚かれていた。
　こんな素晴らしい人がニューヨークにいることが、日本の大切なるアドバンテージなのかもしれない。

　I return from Nobeoka to the Miyazaki airport, Fukuoka Airport, Komatsu Airport and Kanazawa in the morning.
　It was the next day's schedule primarily. It's because an important guest is going to visit my home in the afternoon.
　Mr. Glenn Adamson is the director of New York Art and Design Museum.
　A Japanese Kogei exhibition is held at this museum at present,
　and it was under care very much in case of a recent visit by him also.
　He has deep understanding about Japanese arts and ceramics.
　And he tried to make a tea bowl with his hand was quite used to.
　Akimoto Yuji (Director of the Kanazawa 21st Century museum) was together and he surprised seriously, too.
　That there is such person lives in New York may be the one of the important Japanese advantage.

　短い間ではあったが、たくさんの方々から友情を賜る。
　そして、多くの気付きと勇気を頂いた。

　The member who tow the Japanese culture now gather for engine 01.
　It was a short while, but I receive friendship from a lot of people.
　And I received many regaining consciousness and courage.

　エンジン01文化戦略会議延岡の関連事業で、辰巳琢郎氏がプロデュースした夕食会に、講師として今野由梨さんと私が参加。
　関西、北陸、九州全域からの参加者が、地産地消のワイン、フレンチを堪能した。
　そして、素晴らしい交流の輪が広がった。

　Mr. Takurou Tatsumi produced in the dinner party with Ms. Yuri Konno and I participate as a lecturer on related
　by Encourage Japan Intelligent Network in Nobeoka Miyazaki Nobeoka
　Participants from Kansai, Hokuriku area and the Kyushu whole field was satisfied with wine and French cuisine
　from place producing Kyushu area.
　And a circle of a wonderful exchange expanded.

　新時代の文化形成の「エンジン」となり異分野の才能が「円陣」を組むことを呼びかけることも意味している。
　120人を超える会員が延岡でオープンカレッジが繰り広げられた。

　金沢市内の中学生を対象に、伝統文化を語る。
　遠い昔、私が中学生の時、家を継ぐことに深く悩みノイローゼになった。自らの部屋を壊しながら泣き喚いたそうだ。
　何故か、その時のことをあまり覚えていない。
　しかし、担任の先生が、友人が、そして家族が、皆で助けてくれた。今思えば、それが教育だ。

　悩みながら人生は拓かれていく。
　帰る際に何人かが握手をしてくれた。
　私が伝えたい事！理解してくれた子供がいたようだ！
　頑張れ中学生達！

　金沢香林坊ロータリークラブが主催した。
　パネラーは4人。金箔工芸を蚊谷八郎氏、加賀料理を大友佐俊氏、牛首鶫を西山憲隆氏、そして大樋焼の私。

　It was a discussion about traditional culture for the junior high school student in Kanazawa city.

　I had in troubled with my succeeding to my family estate at my junior high school student time with deeply neurosis.
　I yelled and cried with breaking my room.?For some reason, I do not clearly remember so much.
　But my teacher in charge, my friends and my family helped. When thinking now, I believe that's education.

　A life is being held while worrying.

　When I was returning in that auditorium, some students were shook hands got me.
　The thing I'd like to tell! It seems to me that some students understood!

　Good luck for junior high school students!

　昨日、東京恵比寿にある「園山」を訪れた。店主は園山真希絵さんだ。
　ニューヨークからの友人姉妹との会食だったのだが、まるで子供の頃を思い出すかのような不思議な美味しさを感じた。
　そして、帰り際にそっと手渡してくれた出版本を私は片手に、ずっと見送る彼女の姿が印象的だった。
　朝、金沢へ帰る北陸新幹線の中で頂いた本を読み終えると、何故か涙が出てきた。
　知人であるが彼女がどのように生きてきたか全く知らなかった。
　私はテレビを見ることがほとんどない。ネットで人を調べない。そして、大概の人を記憶できない。
　子供の頃、夏休みが終わって学校が始まると友達の名前を忘れていたほどなのだ。
　私に！いい人か？そうでないか！それだけの判断かもしれない。

　味覚とは、五感だけではない第六感を呼び寄せる力があるのかもしれない。
　そして、私がこれから真摯にアーティストとして生きて行く気付きを頂いた気もしている。

　Tokyo Ebisu yesterday, I visited "Sonoyama" Japanese Restaurant. Owner is Ms. Sonoyama Makie.
　It was diner together with a friend sister from New York, then wonderful taste with remembered our child time.
　And she quietly gave me for her published book, it was impressed that she was watching me to the end.
　Now I am in the Hokuriku Shinkansen which returns to Kanazawa.
　I just finished reading her book and my tear has come out for some reason.I
I know her, but it wasn't known at all how she had lived.

　There are almost no cases that I watch television. I never checked a person with a net.
　And I do not memorize most's person. When I was a child and summer vacation was over,
　I forgot some of my friends name.
　For me! A good person? Isn't it so! It may be only that judgement.

　The sense of taste which isn't only the five senses may be some ones with the 6 senses.
　taste. And I'm also thinking I received regaining consciousness which will live as an artist and go sincerely now.

　泉鏡花の滝の白糸がオペラになった。
　泉鏡花の言葉が更に詩的に(黛まどか・台本）それが更に楽譜(千住明・作曲）となり、演技と歌(大友直人・指揮）となり、
　演出(千住博氏・テーマアート）されたのだ。
　黛まどかさんは私の俳句師匠。千住博氏は画家で同じ歳の燦燦会メンバー。
　千住明氏（作曲）は彼の弟で作曲家。大友直人氏（指揮）も同じ歳の燦燦会メンバー。
　皆んなが長いアートの親友だ。
　これだけハイレベルな共演に、泉鏡花も驚いたことだろう。

　Kyoka Izumi's Takinoshiraito became an opera. His word is more poetic (Mayuzumi Madoka-script),
　more that will be next to the sheet music (Senju Akira-composition), acting,
　song (Otomo Naoto-direction) and Art Sean (Senjyu Hiroshi- theme Art).
　Mayuzumi Madoka, is master of my haiku. Senju Hiroshi is a painter and it's the same year birth member.
　Senju Akira (composition) is his young brother, a composer and their younger sister is a violinist. Three brothers,
　everyone is my friend. Otomo Naoto (direction) is also the
　same year birth member.
　This is the one of the highest network performance for art.I'm happy to be all their friend for long time.
　Izumi Kyoka must be very surprised by this performance.

 


　今から12年前、この夫妻の父上が我家に御成になり、ニューヨークのオフィスにも招かれたことがある。
　100歳となられた今も交流をさせていただいている。
　昨年10月、その長男となるデビット・ ロックフェラー・ジュニア氏にニューヨーク・ジャパンソサエティーでの
　私の講演を聞いていただいた。
　その際、金沢を訪れ私に会いたいと思って頂いたらしいのだ。
　そして今日、我家に御成になられた。大樋美術館見学、茶室で呈茶、作陶、様々に体験していただいた。
　その時間は、夫妻がアートをこよなく愛していることを教えてくれた。
　「世界に絶大的な影響力を持つ大富豪」私の印象は全く違う。倹約家で温厚な人々。
　そして自然やアートと共存した時間を過ごされている。光栄なことに来年春、ニューヨークでの再会を約束してくれた。

　金沢マラソンが行われていた。我家の前も続々とランナーが走り抜けていった。
　その中には多くの知人もいたのだが、夫妻の訪問時と重なり声援を送れなかったことをここでお詫びいたします。
　ご理解いただければ幸いです。

　12 years before, their father has visited to my family and has been also invited to his office in New York.
　Now he is 100 years old.
　Mr. David Rockefeller Jr. who became the first son attended for my lecture at New York Japan society in October 2014.
　Then he seem to have thought in the case, visit Kanazawa and meet me.

　And they visited today, Ohi Museum, sheared the tea together at tearoom and made tea bowls.

　"In the world said, multimillionaire with great influence" my impression is just different.
　They are gentle and frugal person. They coexisted with nature and art.
　I learned from them. And we promised me to see each others in spring of next year atNew York.

　Kanazawa marathon was performed at same time.
　A runner was also running through one after another in front of my home.
　Many acquaintances were in it, too,
　I apologize that I could not support. I should be very much obliged if you can understand.

 


　中田英寿氏の主催するパーティーが金沢日航ホテルで開かれた。
　男性は袴、女性は友禅着用というドレスコードで、世界中から300名を超える参加者が集まった。
　彼が進める日本の工芸支援が世界発信し始めている。誰も出来ない貢献は、数々の工芸家を世界に輩出しているのだ。

　The Gala party was held by Mr. Nakata Hidetoshi at Kanazawa Nikko Hotel.
　A man was a hakama, and a lady was a dress cord as Yuzen wear,
　and participants beyond 300 people gathered from all over the world.
　He is supporting for Japanese arts and crafts (kogei) and his contribution begun to send many artists to the world

　前川強氏は具体美術の生き証人でもあり、白石幸雄氏は日本の現代美術を海外に広めてているギャラリスト、
　そして私との新春号の対談が公開で行われた。
　今回、私の試作中の絵画も発表する中で、それぞれの現代美術を語り合った。
　その絵も来年の新春号に掲載される予定です。

　Mr. Maekawa Tsuyoshi was a valid witness of the Gutai arts,
　Mr. Shiraishi Yukio is owner of the gallery which spreads Japanese contemporary art among foreign countries
　and a talk in a New Year number with me.
　And this talk was opening to the public.

　Also releasing my new painting I'm making this time.
　We talked about the respective contemporary arts each others.My painting will be included from this interview.

 


　青年会議所(JC)の世界大会が金沢で行われている。かっては私もメンバーだった。

　数々の事業が行われている中で、JCは世界からの傑出した若者を敬章を表してきた。
　2015年度に選ばれた10人が我家を表敬してくれた。

　アイルランド、ブルガリア、インド、オーストラリア、ハイチ、ザンビア、実に様々だ。
　何かに傑出している彼らの興味は深い。日本、金沢、茶道、大樋焼、何か感じてくれたら幸いだ。

　A world congress of a junior chamber (JC) is held at Kanazawa. Since overcoming, I was a member, too.

　JC selected Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World(TOYP)
　2015 awarded parsons gathered in Kanazawa and officially visited my home.
　Ireland, Bulgaria, India, Australia, Zanbia and Haiti are very various.
　Their interest which excels in something is deep.
　Japan and Kanazawa, tea ceremony, Ohi Ware if they had something feel, I would be so happy.

 


　美貌や知性を共に志を持った女性達は、70ヶ国を超える地域の代表者でもある。
　ミス達の未来は、外交官、ニュースキャスター、女優、各国の重要なポストに就くなど影響力ある女性として成長していく。

　各国の大使などのVIPと共に、私も招待を受けて、コンテスト、夕食会、アフターパーティーと同席させていただいた。

　私は、ベスト5に4人的中。2015年度ミスインターナショナルも的中！私のテーブルの皆様が驚いていた。笑

　それにしても、美しく、長身で、長所だらけ、そんな彼女達に心を奪われそうになった！のは私だけではないと思う。

　A beauty and the intellect, the females in an area beyond 70 countries representative are gathered.

　Such as a diplomat, a newscaster and an actress are appointed to the important post of each country,
　their future is promised by growing as an influential lady.

　Ambassadors and VIP were invited and I was also with a contest, a dinner party and an after party.

　4 of my selection was chosen from the best 5. I also sheared same opinion for the 2015 Miss international,
　so everybody in my table was surprised.Lough

　Even though beautifully, tall figure and full of the characteristic point, I am very much fascinated.
　I guessed it is not only me.

　民間放送教育行協会の全国大会が開かれ、彼とのトークショーが実現した。
　そして、早川知良 石川県観光総合プロデューサー、小田絵里香 加賀屋中女将とのパネルディスカッションが行われた。
　ハードなスケジュールだったが、稀な会話だったと思う。

　主催者側関係者、並びに参加頂いた方々に感謝。

　Japan Broadcasting educational line society was held in Kanazawa and a talk show with him was achieved.
　And a panel discussion was also with Mr.Hayakawa Kazuyoshi
　 (Ishika Pref Genaral Tourism Producer) and Mrs. Oda Erika (Kagaya) was performed.

　It was a busy schedule, but I think it was very much meaningful conversation.
　Thank you very much for this organization and person concerned.

　ニューヨークから帰国。そのまま、成田空港から東京国立新美術館に直行した。

　第2回改組日展が始まり、私の作品も並んでいる。夜は、工芸美術部門の懇親会が催され出席。

　今日は日展開幕式があり、夜は日展会員祝賀会。すべての行事を終えて金沢に帰る。

　I returned home from New York.
　And then I directly went from Narita Airport to Tokyo national new art museum for the 2nd Nitten (Japan Fine Art Exhibition)
　yesterday and my work also displayed as a member.
　A social gathering of Kogei (craft arts) was held in the evening,

　There is officially Nitten started today.
　At night, Nitten member celebration party. I attended all events and return to Kanazawa.

 


　New York Museum of Arts and Design がVIPを招き、私が席主を務めた。
　古さを大切にする茶会だけではなく、現代アートをも許容する茶道があることを理解してもらえたと思う。

　New York Museum of Arts and Design invited a VIP, and I served as the host.

　I think they could understand that there are tea ceremony which also permits contemporary art with
　the way of tea as well as old tea style.

 


　新築で再オープンしたこの美術館を訪れた。ボストンに留学していた時、ニューヨークに出向いては、この美術館を訪れたものだ。
　また昔、展覧会の準備中だった韓国人・現代アーチスト・ナムジュンパイク氏と出会えたのもこの美術館だった。
　現代アートとして、世界を変える数々の作品を目にすることは、実に衝撃的だった。

　今日、それらの作品に再び会った。そのことで、留学時代が走馬灯のように蘇がるのだが、受け止める自らに、不思議な違いを感じる。

　あれからすでに30年以上が過ぎている。現代アートも私も、アップデートされているのかもしれない。

　This art museum was just renewal opened by new building.
　Since I studied in Boston University, I sometimes visited this art museum.

　I could meet with Korean Contemporary Artist, Mr. Nam June Palk which he was preparing own his exhibition.
　It was also this museum.

　It was very shocking to see by my eyes on many works which the world is changed as their art.

　I met those works again today. And then my studying abroad time was returned but
　I found that strange different understanding came up to me.

　From that more than 30 years have passed already. I realize that contemporary art and I may be updating.

　真っ暗な朝のロアノク空港
　そして、ニューヨークに戻る。
　マンハッタンに住んでいるかのような不思議な感覚だ。

　短い旅だった。
　バージニア、ありがとう。

　So the people who I met professors,students and local people
　I don't forget that moment.
　I return by a morning flight, the strange sense to seem to live in New York.

　It was short stay. Thank you Virginia !
　And thank you all.

 


　午後は、この大学のフットボールの試合を見学。
　その後、およそ3時間かけての旅。そして3代米国合衆国大統領の生家を訪れた。途中、紅葉は美しく南部の歴史をも感じれた時間でもあった。

　A football game of this university is visited in the afternoon.
　After that approximately 3 hour car driving. And visited to Monticello.It was discovered of the 3rd generations U.S.A.
　president Thomas Jefferson with his birth house.
　Colored leaves were beautiful and I could feel about southern history.

 


　午前はWashington & Lee Universityで
　講演。その後、裏千家鵬雲斎大宗匠が寄贈した茶室「洗心庵」で、ジャネット池田教授と学生が茶会を催してくれた。
　この大学は優秀な学生ばかりだ。

　In the morning I had a lcture.
　After that Prof. Janet Ikeda and a student gave a tea party in the tea-ceremony room Urasenke Great
　Grand Tea Master Hounsai contributed "Senshin.an”.
　This university is only an excellent student.

 


　1749年創立。初代大統領ジョージ・ワシントンと、南北戦争の南軍指揮官ロバート・リー将軍の名をとった歴史ある大学。
　その将軍は初代学長に就き、現在はキャンパスの一角で永遠の眠りについている。

　そしてこの大学に到着。
　南部の雰囲気が漂う美しいキャンパスだ。
　ジャネット池田教授の完璧なるもてなしで、大学側は手厚く私を迎えてくれた。
　特筆したいこどがある。
　1798年6月17日、初代アメリカ大統領ジョージワシントンがこの大学に宛てた書簡を手にすることが出来たことだ。

　最も大切な秘宝での歓迎に、感動した。

　Establishment in 1749.
　The university where the history for which a name of USA the first President George Washington and
　the south army commander Robert Lee general of the Civil War was taken is here.
　The general became the first president and has got to eternal sleep by one corner in a campus at present.

　And I arrive at this university. The beautiful campus where locates the atmosphere in the south.
　The university side welcomed me with perfect hospitality of Prof. Janet Ikeda cordially.
　There is one topics which I want to write.
　President of the United States of America George Washington wrote a letter for this university on June 17, 1798.
　I could hold in my hand.
　I was impressed with a welcome by the most important treasure.

 


　乗継の空港に到着。
　聞いたこともなければ、どこかもわからない。
　ネットで調べてみるとノースキャロライナ州にあるらしい。
　しかし、空港はかなりのスケールで、インテリアも洒落ている。
　目指すはロアノック空港、バージニア州。
　久しぶりに乗る。プロペラ機だ。

　I arrive at the airport for transit.
　I never heard and I don't also know whether it's everywhere.
　When it'll be checked with a net, it seems to be in the State of North Carolina.
　But the airport is the considerable scale and the interior is also dressing itself up.

　I will fly to Roanoke airport at the State of Virginia. I take it after a long time. It's a propeller plane.

　ニューヨークは私を眠らさない
　また、朝がやってきた。
　ニューヨークは優しくも辛くもある街
　つかの間の暖かさも
　やがて厳しい冬がやってくる。

　ニューヨーク知人宅で詩人のつもり。笑

　New York doesn't put me to sleep.
　A morning came.
　New York the town where it's gently also spicy
　The warmth of the brief moment.
　Severe winter comes soon.

　I am just like poet ! at acquaintance home in NYC. Laugh !

 


　午後からワークショップ、そして参加アーティストによるパネルディスカッションに参加。
　ニューヨークは、アートの存在意識が高く、街の至る所にアートワークが存在する。
　そこで自らの作品が問われているのだ。
　現代アートに即した作品、そして日本の工芸の本質を捉えた作品、幅広く、奥深く 挑戦していくつもりだ。

　I participated workshop and panel discussion for activity of this exhibition from the afternoon.

　Existence consciousness of art is high in New York, and an art work exists in everywhere in the town.

　I'll challenge a work in conformity with contemporary art and the work which proof of Japanese arts and crafts .
　So my work has to be about widely and deeper.

 


　秋元雄史・金沢21世紀美術館館長がキューレートした、日本の工芸を紹介する Future Forward Exhibition が始まった。
　そして、選ばれたほとんどの出品作家、そして世界中からのコレクターも加わり、盛大にオープニングパーティーが催された。

　Wendell Caslte氏の展覧会も同時に開催された。
　彼は米国を代表する木工作家で、ロチェスター工科大学客員教授でもあり、旧知の間柄なのだ。

　偶然とは、実は昔から決まっているのかもしれない。

　Future Forward Exhibition where Akimoto Yuji (Kanazawa 21st Century Art Museum Director) organized at
　New York Museum Art and Design.
　And most of 12 selected artists gathered also Collectors from all over the world was attended for
　this Opening Party.

　Exhibition of Wendell Caslte held at the same time. He's also Professor of Rochester Institution of technology.
　So I know him over than 30 years.

　It may be the one already decided actually that it's coincidence from the past.

　ニューヨークでは、出品したアート&デザインミュージアムでの展覧会オープニング、他のギャラリーなどのイベント参加。

　バージニアではWashington and Lee University での講義など盛りだくさん。

　行ってきます！

　The travel which is approximately 10 days from today
　The invitational exhibited in New York, exhibition opening at a Art and Design Museum
　and event participation in other galleries.
　A lecture in Washington and Lee University at Virginia. It is quite a lot.
　 I go visit!

 


　金沢は、久しぶりの晴天。気持ちも最高。
　東京への日帰りも新幹線のおかげで快適だ。

　昨年から東京藝術大学特任教授となった伊東順二 氏。
　数々のアーティストを招きながら授業を行っている。
　「現代アートから観る日本の工芸文化」
　たっぷりと90分にわたり話させて頂いた。

　現代美術評論家として茶道にも精通する伊東順二氏は、多方面に活躍している。
　私を導いてくれる30年にわたる盟友でもある。
　そんな彼の大切な学生達に、授業が出来たことは光栄なことだ。

　Kanazawa is a clear sky after a long time. The feeling is also best.
　The day trip to Tokyo is also comfortable thanks to the Shinkansen.

　Mr. Junji Ito who became Proffesor of Tokyo University of Fine Arts from last year.
　He is teaching with many invited artists.
　"The view of Japanese culture of arts and crafts from contemporary art, I spoke for 90 minutes.

　Mr. Junji Ito who is also familiar with a tea ceremony as a contemporary art critic.
　I'm also the sworn friend for 30 years who leads me.

　京都国立博物館、琳派誕生400年記念「琳派 京を彩る」特別展覧会が始まった。

　それに伴い。コシノジュンコさんが「能とファションショー」場所を変えて京都ハイアットリージェンシーで宴会ディナーを催した。

　400年前と現代が融合した夜でもあった。

　Party of the 400 years Rimpa school and special exhibition have started at Kyoto National Museum.

　With that. Noh play "and" fashion show adjourned,
　and Ms KOSHINO JUNKO held and banquet dinner at Kyoto Hyatt Regency.

　400 years ago and today time shared today.

 


　金沢から初めての日本青年会議所会頭となった柴田剛介氏。素晴らしい指導力を発揮されている。
　そして、11月には、青年会議所の世界会議が金沢で行われることになっている。
　そのタイミングに合わせて、機関誌のための対談を行った。
　我家の茶室、ギャラリー、庭などで撮影された写真と共に、10月20日に発刊されることになっている。
　世界中から集まる青年会議所の仲間を最大限にもてなすための一助に私もなれれば幸いだ。

　Mr. Kousuke Shibata who became a first Japan Junior Chamber president from Kanazawa.
　He is showing wonderful leadership. And a world conference of a junior chamber is held at Kanazawa in November.
　Him and my talk for a bulletin was performed today.
　It's going to be published on October 20 with the picture taken at a tea-ceremony room in my home, gallery and garden.
　Many of the junior chamber members will gather from all over the world.
　I hope I can some help to entertain if it is possible.

 


　金沢武士団の開幕戦は、石井竜也氏が国歌斉唱するなど歴史的な出来事だった。
　そして、彼を囲んだ打ち上げパーティーも行われ、金沢の自宅に帰ったのは朝3時。

　8:30アシスタントの迎えの車が到着。ドアホーンがなる。起きることを忘れてしまった私。慌てて身支度をして自宅を出たのだった。

　ワインを飲みすぎた私には、小松空港から福岡空港までの飛行機移動は大変だった。医学的見地では、過度の飲み過ぎ、二日酔い。

　14:00 立ち直った私は、約1時間にわたり「現代アートに挑む大樋年雄」を講演。
　福岡の皆様、本当にありがとうございます。

　Such as Mr. Tatuya Ishii did national anthem sing for opening game of Kanazawa samuraiz, it was a historical affair.

　And it was morning 3:00 the party with him was held and that I returned to a home in Kanazawa.

　8:30 my assistant arrives with his car and a door horn was rang, I forgot to get up. I rushed and left from my house.

　The airplane movement from Komatsu Airport to Fukuoka Airport was serious for me who drank wine too much.
　Excessive drinking has a hangover by my medical point of view. Laugh,

　14:00 I had a lecture on "Ohi Toshio who challenges contemporary art" for about 1 hour.

　Thank you very much for everybody in Fukuoka!

 


　侍ファションで金沢武士団の開幕戦のための国歌斉唱は、厳かでしかも洗練されたものだった。

　金沢武士団は、たくさんの仲間が支え合い開幕戦を迎えることができた。

　「金沢のためなら歌います」そう言ってくれた彼。

　石井竜也。今更ながら大スターであることを実感した。

　It was samurai fashion and sang national anthem for an opening game of Kanazawa samuraiz.

　My a lot of companies resisted each other and finally had an opening game.

　"It's sung for Kanazawa." he said that.
　Tatuya Ishii. I realized that he is a great star.

 


　仲間と立ち上げた、プロバスケットチーム。

　福岡で個展開催中なのだが、今日だけ金沢に戻る。

　石井竜也さんに、国歌斉唱をお願いした。
　彼は、快く引き受けてくれた。

　初の公式試合、そして開幕戦。一度しかないこの境遇。金沢の仲間と共に見届ける。

　The professional basketball game team started with friends.

　It's during exhibition holding in Fukuoka now, I return to Kanazawa only today.

　I requested national anthem sing by Mr. Tatuya Ishii. He took over pleasantly.

　The first regular game and opening game.
　These circumstances which have only once. It's seen through with Kanazawa's friend.

 
 


　本年、国内最後となる個展。
　初日朝一番に駆けつけてくれた、大分の荘司夫人。バスで2時間半かかったそうだ。夫人のそのいつもの優しさに、その都度に感動を覚える。

　福岡に知人がそんなにいるわけではない。でも朝から沢山の来場者。

　いつも誰かに守られている
　本当に幸せな人生かもしれない

　10月5日まで福岡に滞在します。

　My last exhibition in Japan started today.

　First day first thing in the morning.
　Mrs. Shoji in Oita Pref came by bus. It's said that took 2 hours and a half.

　In its usual gentleness of her, every time, I have given each impression by her

　There is not so acquaintance in Fukuoka. But the visitor never stop from a morning.

　It's always maintained by someone.
　It may be a really happy life.
　I'll stay in Fukuoka until October 5.

　講演会に招かれた。
　テーマは、金沢の矛盾文化。
　京都に学び、江戸では地味でありながらも、深い稀有な文化を目指した歴史的背景を説明させていただいた。
　北陸新幹線開業後に起こっている金沢の現象など、同じ新幹線沿線城下町として比較もしてみた。

　今、それぞれの分野が現代アートといかに関係していくか問われている。金沢も然り！小田原も然り！

　行きも帰りも温かく迎えて頂いた。
　裏千家淡交会小田原支部関係者、そして参加頂いた350名の皆様、ありがとうございました。

　I was invited to have a lecture. A theme is inconsistent culture in Kanazawa.
　Though it was learned in Kyoto and it was quiet in Edo (Tokyo),
　I explained a historical background aiming at deep rare culture.

　Kanazawa's phenomenon which has happened after Hokuriku Shinkansen opening was compared as the same
　Shinkansen area along a railway line castle town.

　Each culture should carry how related to contemporary art. Kanazawa also! Odawara alsoI!

　I was invited with all warm hospitality and thank you very much for UraSenke Odawara branch stuff people
　with 350 participated people.

 


　17時からレセプションがはじまった。コシノヒロコさんの知人、そして私の大切な人々も集まってくれた。
　駆けつけてくれた多くの方々ありがとうございました。
　それにしてもコシノヒロコさんの前向きな生き方に、学ぶことが多くある。
　発表されたそれぞれの絵画は、まるで「具体」のアーチェストだ。

　A reception has started from 17:00.An acquaintance of Ms. KOSHINO HIROKO
　and my important people gathered, too.
　And thank you very much for other all persons.
　I respect Ms.Koshino Hiroko her positive life-style.
　Also Her all new paintings are one of “Gutai” artist mind. Which I found.

 
 


　彼女は、偉大で世界的なファションデザイナー。そして絵画や陶芸もたしなむ。
　今回、彼女の絵画をイメージした作品を私は制作した。
　また、金沢の私の工房で彼女が制作した作品も陳列されており、正に二人展なのだ。

　今日は、17:00からレセプションが行われる。会期は10月25日まで。

　She's a great and worldwide fashion designer. And a painting and ceramics are also fond.
　I made the work which imagined her painting this time.
　The work she made at my studio in Kanazawa also is displayed and indeed is two person exhibition.

　A reception is performed from 17:00 today. A exhibition is until October 25.

 


　川島なお美さんが死去した。歌手、女優、ソムリエとしても活躍。
　2013年8月にがんが見つかった。
　2014年1月に手術を受け、無事に成功。
　手術後の３月、快気祝いに一緒に食事をした。
　「ノンアルコールワイン」それなりに美味しいの！「抗癌剤などしない」自然を信じるの！そんな会話もした。
　4月、東京の個展にもやってきてくれた。

　マスコミの報道で知った彼女の容態。取材は、もう少し労わってほしかった。
　数日前、心配でLINEを送った。既読になったが、返事は来なかった。

　ご冥福をお祈りします。

　彼女のこれまでの人生に　”いいね”
　そしてありがとうございました。

　She has died. She was singer, actress and a sommelier, too.
　2013 in August, .her cancer was found
　2014 in January,she had a operation and succeeded safely.
　In March after an operation, I had dinner together in recovery celebration from her illness.
　"Non-alcoholic wine" is it good !
　"An anticancer drug isn't done.” I believed nature !
　Such conversation was also done.
　in April.She also came to my exhibition of Tokyo
　I knew her condition by report of mass communication
　I wanted they to appreciate a little more.
　Several days ago, I was anxiously and sent LINE.
　It became already-read, but a reply has not come.

　I'll wish for rest in peace.And Thank you all.
　Her life was "good" I have that kind of feeling.

 


　宮崎日日新聞が主催する第67回宮日総合美術展の審査を務めた。
　工芸部門を昨年にひき続き2度目の審査員として、全ての作品を一人で選出するので、
　私自身の審美眼も問われていることになる。
　一見、サーフボードのような現代アートに即した作品があったりで、ここ宮崎でも新しい息吹が芽生えている。

　審査を終えて、速攻で羽田空港にもどる。
　夜、友人の人間国宝認定祝賀会に出席する。

　Miyazaki Nichinichi Shinbun served as the 67th Miyanichi Exhibition.
　All works were chosen by myself as the 2nd time of judge continuously last year,
　so I am asked also own my taste from audience.
　I saw a present-day art like a surfboard, it means new type of craft and begging to grow new field.
　I finished my judge and quickly return to Haneda Airport.
　I will attend friend's living national treasure authorization celebration party in the evening.

 


　昨年、須田賢司先生が木工芸作家として重要無形文化財保持者(人間国宝)に認定され、そして今日、盛大に祝賀会が催された。

　昔、「九つの音色」という9人の作家で、新しい美術運動を展開したことがある。
　代表は宮田亮平東京藝大学長、世話人は三田村有純東京藝大教授、須田先生も私も共に活動した。
　その後、それが20人の運動ともなった。会えなくなってしまった同人、関わった人々も久しぶりに集まり、思い出話に花が咲いた。

　実直な須田先生の木に対する熱情、そして稀なる技術は、皆が認めるところだ。
　人間国宝という称号は当然なのかもしれない。

　Mr. Suda Kenji was authorized by an important intangible cultural asset holder (living national treasure) as a wood
　worker last year and a celebration party was held magnificently today.
　I have been 9 artists as "nine harmony" and have developed new movement of fine arts.
　President Tokyo university of Fine Art Miyata Ryohei represent for this group and professor of Tokyo university
　of Fine Art Mitamura Arizumi was Promoter.
　Mr.Suda and I were together. After that group became 20 people.
　Members who can't have met any more and with related people gathered,
　It engaged in a reminiscence.

 


　今、宮崎にいてブログを書いている。
　小松空港から羽田空港で乗り継ぎ、宮崎空港に到着。明日は、宮崎県で開かれる美術展の審査会だ。

　　25日　コシノヒロコさんとの二人展レセプション。
　　27日　小田原市民会館で講演。
　　29日　福岡三越で個展

　今日から10日間のロードの旅が始まる

　I am now writing my blog in Miyazaki.
　I take airplane from Komatsu Airport by Haneda Airport and arrive at the Miyazaki airport.
　I am invited to be judge of the Miyazaki Pref Art Exhibition Tomorrow will be a board of review.

　日本の有名建築家が金沢に集まった。
　3日間行われた学会のフィナーレは、建築家・隈研吾氏、美術評論家・伊東順二氏と私との対談だった。

　偶然とは何なのか？どのように捉えたら良いのだろうか？
　我々には25年を超える友情がある。
　パネルに与えられた時間はその凝縮のようだった。

　Famous Japanese architects gathered in Kanazawa.
　A finale of the academic meeting performed for 3 days was a talk with an architect,
　Kuma Kengo, Art Critic, Mr.Ito Junji and me.

　What is coincidence ? How should it be caught?
　We have friendship beyond 25 years.
　Time when it was given to a panel seemed to be the condensation.

 


　LCCは究極のエコノミー。狭い。
　でも、美しい朝が迎えてくれた。
　帰国しました。

　Low Coast Carriers is completely economy seat,
　no empty space but beautiful early morning at Haneda Airport.
　I just returned.

 


　短い滞在だったが、たくさんの気付きがあった。
　来年、また訪れることになるかもしれない！
　これから現代美術に挑戦する。納得するまで！

　間も無く帰国する。

　彼は二つの名前を使い分ける。
　Stanley Wongはデザイナー。
　又一山人はアーチスト。
　いずれの名前でも評価が高い。
　夕食を共にしたが、素晴らしい人格者。
　そして、来年3月の再会を誓う。

　He's using two names appropriately.
　Stanley Wong is a designer.
　Anothermauntainman is an artist.
　Both of his activities are most respected in Hong Kong.
　I had dinner together with this wonderful man.
　And we promised to meet again in March 2016.

 


　昼頃、香港空港に到着。
　この街を訪れたのは、30年ぐらい前。その時はイギリス領だった。
　街は大きく様変わりした。今や、金融も現代アートもアジアのメッカとなっている。
　アートフェア、オークション、そこで扱われた現代アート作品が、世界価格となっていく。
　私にもそのチャンスが訪れるかもしれない。そうなれば、自らの人生の大きな転機となる。
　これまで出会った人々の縁、自らの経験、同じ車輪となって動き始めた。
　自らに起こる自然の成り行きは、神仏、先祖の御蔭。
　謙虚に！謙虚に！

　I arrive at the Hong Kong airport around noon.
　It has been 30 years ago and That case was a British domain.
　A town changed a lots. Already, finance and contemporary art are Asian mecca.
　An art fair, an auction and a handled contemporary art work are being the world price.
　The chance may come for me, it'll be big turning point for my life.
　The relationship of the people who came up to now and my experience was the same wheel.
　The natural course which happens by itself is the gods,Buddha and ancestor's grace.
　Modestly! Modestly!

 


たった一泊か二泊の香港に出発

I will stay in Hong Kong just for 1 night or 2 nights. I am leaving now soon.

 


　プロバスケチームを金沢の仲間達と立ち上げた。その名は金沢武士団。
　途中に観た快晴の立山連峰。チームの門出を祝うかのようにそびえ立っていた。
　今日は、チーム誕生後の初試合。対戦相手は富山グラウジーズ。金沢は新参チームだが、74-74引き分け。
　堂々とした戦いだった。試合後、仲間皆んなで涙！興奮した。

　今日は、東京に移動して明日から香港を訪問する。

　My Kanazawa friends and I started professional basketball team.
　The team name is Kanazawa samuraiz.
　We saw beautiful Tateyama-Mountains seen in the way. I took that meaning for celebrating new team.
　Today is the first game for the new team with Tomiyama. And that game result was 74-74 draws.
　It was a good game and all my friends stroking tear! I was excited also.

　今朝の北國新聞。
　父の展覧会、昨日夜のレセプションものことも記事となっていた。
　全国津々浦々、多くの方々が祝いに駆けつけてくれた。
　88歳を迎える父、支える母、本当に嬉しそうだった。
　そして、皆様のお陰です。ありがとうございます！

　This morning's Hokkoku Simbun Newspaper.
　Father's exhibition and that reception at yesterday's night were an article.
　Many persons gathered to a celebration.
　My father who will be 88 years old and mother who resists, they seemed really happy.
　And everybody's divine protection for them.

　荻野目慶子さんは、我家に以前にも来られているのだが、今回は、友人の牧瀬里穂さんと共に再訪された。
　お二人とも茶道、陶芸が好きで、大樋焼ファンだそうで、とても光栄！

　北京の中心街では、ベントレー、ロールスロイス、ランボルギーニなどが走り回っている。
　まるでモーターショーさながらだ。そして、ポルシェカイエン、パナメイラなどが普通車のように走っている。
　新しい感覚ではレンジローバーなどが人気車種にもなってきているようだ。
　一時シェアを伸ばした韓国系の現代、KIAは減少傾向、日本のレキサス、トヨタ、日産は、
　政治摩擦が原因だろうが更に少なくなった気がする。

　洛陽で宿泊した五つ星ホテルでも、スーパーカーばかりが停車していたが、郊外に建設中のたくさんの高級マンションを目にしたのだが、
　工事が止まっているようにも見えた。他の地方都市も同じ問題を抱えているらしい。

　会った人々は素晴らしい人達で成功者だった。
　中国で言われている1980年代出生世代、1990年出生世代などの新世代が続々とニュービジネスを起業している。
　軽井沢と同じ面積規模の事業を展開している人は、私と同世代だった。

　高級車購入は、税金の関係で日本のほぼ2倍の価格と言われている。
　高級レストラン、ファションブランド、価格は日本を超えている場合もあった。

　誰だって成功もあれば、失敗もある。
　日本と中国。新しい秩序が求められているのかもしれない。

　解らない素人の戯言なので、悪しからず。

　In Beijing, Many of Bentley, Rolls-Royce and Lamborghini are driving around center of town It was
　just like a motor show.
　And Porsche Cayenne and Panameira are running like a standard car.
　Range Rover also seems to be becoming the popular car by a new sense.
　Korean Hyundai and KIA is on the decline today of the ancestry which increased the share just a little while ago,

　Japanese Lexus, Toyota, and Nissan have much less than before from political friction.

　I Loyang, only super cars also stopped at five star hotel where I stayed.
　I saw a lot of luxury apartments which are being constructed in a suburb, construction seemed to stop.
　Other local cities also seem to hold the same problem.

　The people who met were a successful and wonderful people.
　New generation in the born in 1980 's and the born generation in 1990 which are being talked about in China,
　one after another, new business, they start ed.

　Also another parson developing business of the same area scale as Karuizawa was same generation with me.

　The luxury car purchase is said to be an approximately 2 times of Japanese value by a relation of a tax.
　The luxury restaurant, the fashion brand and the price sometimes exceeded than Japan.

　When everyone also has success, there is also failure.
　Japan and China. A new order may be asked one.

　The amateur's nonsense which I did not understand, so and no hard feelings please.

　洛陽から安陽へ高速鉄道で移動。

　中国ではシートクラスを以下のように選別している。
　普通席、一等席、商務席、
　つまりBusiness Class がFirst Classより上になるのだ。
　今日はその商務席で2時間の旅。
　日本のグランクラスと比較してみた。

　・乗り心地は、圧倒的に日本が優れてる。
　・シートは、フルフラットで間隔も広く日本より圧倒的に優れてる。
　・サービスは、比較にならないくらい日本が優れてる。
　・スピードは、300キロを超える表示だが日本より遅い気がする。
　・内装デザインは、色彩も含めて日本が優れてる。

　これらが日本人的な私の感想です。

　I move from Loyang to Anyang by rapid transit railway. A seat class is being sorted out as follows in China.
　An economy class seat, a first class seat and a Business Class. In other words,
　Business Class will be the top more than First Class.
　Today I take 2 hours at this seat.I check each circumstances between Japan and China.

　* Japan is excellent overwhelmingly for ride quality.
　* The interval is also wide and the seat is excellent in full-flat more overwhelmingly than Japan.
　* Japan is so excellent that service won't be comparison.
　* It's indication beyond 300 kilometers, but the speed thinks it's slower than Japan.
　* Japan is excellent including the color for the interior design.

　洛陽の郊外にある甘泉村
　昔は陶芸産地として栄えていたそうだ。
　村の中に入るには、乾いた川のような道を歩いて行かなければならない。足元は陶器の破片と川石が混在していて安定しない。
　そして、誰もいない。
　やがて小屋が見えてきた。黙々とただひたすら作る唯一の人達。誰の何の為に作るのだろうか？

　This village in the suburb of Loyang
　It's said that it prospered as a ceramics producing center before. We have to walk on the way like a dried
　river to enter in the village. and a foot doesn't become stable
　And there is no one.
　A shed has been seen soon. The only people who make earnestly silently. What and whose purpose is it made?

 


　洛陽市から西へ15キロ離れたところにあり、中国で唯一の墓誌銘博物館だ。
　墓誌銘には様々な人物が登場する。
　およそ1300年前、唐時代のロマンが秘められている。

　It's the only epitaph signature museum in China where it's 15 kilometers away from the Loyang city.

　Various persons appear on an epitaph signature. Approximately 1300 years before,
　many romances in the Tang age is kept.

 


　北京空港から洛陽空港に夕方に到着。
　若干32歳の中国を代表する天才書道家に会う。
　彼の名は陳花容。
　驚いたことは、「花容」は父の代表作と同じタイトル。
　私の母は「容子」
　彼はサウスポーだが右手で筆を取る。私の弟も同じスタイルだ。
　まさに偶然の出会い。

　I arrive at the Loyang airport in the evening from the Beijing airport.
　I met the genius calligrapher who represents China and he is just 32 years old.
　His name is 陳花容
　I was very much surprised from his name 「花容」
　It's the same title as my fathers’ masterpiece and my mothers name of 「容子」
　He's a southpaw, but he takes a brush on the right hand. My younger brother is the same style, too.
　It is all coincidence.

 


　引越したばかりのニューオフィス。
　北京のビジネス街の中心にある高層ビル33階に位置している。何故だか、晴れているのに視界がはっきりしない。
　まだ内装工事の全てが終わっていないのだが、ニュービジネスを起業した24歳のオーナーが相談にやって来た。
　プロジェクトがまとまると良いのだか！

　The new office to which we have just moved. It's located in the 33rd floor of skyscraper in the center
　of the downtown centers in Beijing. Though why it's clears up, the sight isn't certain.
　Anything of interior construction has not ended yet, the 24-year-old owner who started new business
　came to consultation.
　I hope that project goes realistic story.

 


　暑い金沢だが制作三昧の毎日だった。

　今日から延期を重ねた中国訪問。今晩遅くに北京に到着する。
　明後日から広い中国を横断する。魂の浄化の旅が始まる。
　間も無く成田空港から飛び立つ。

　 It was hot Kanazawa, but I could every day work at my studio.
　I have changed this time for China visit and I will arrive at Beijing.

　Wide China will be crossed from the day after tomorrow. Travel of a purge of my soul starts.

　知事、学者、大臣、東大教授、今は内閣を支える日本創成会議座長を務める有識者として日本に欠かせない重要人物だ。
　今日、金沢で講演をされた。

　「このままでは地方は消滅してしまう」
　「少子化対策について従来の対応では、何も変えられない」

　官民挙げて、若い世代に的を絞った思い切った支援策を打ち出す必要がある。
　多くの地元の政財界の方々が聞き入ったすばらしい内容だった。
　増田氏と知り合ったのは、ほぼ20年前。岩手県知事をされていた。
　私は政治を語る立場にはないが、官僚にも政治家にもいないスタンスの人だと思っている。
　そして、様々に導き頂きながら、敬愛の念で長いお付き合いを頂いている。

　A governor, a scholar, a minister, Prof. University of Tokyo and now are a mogul necessary to Japan as
　the knowledgeable person
　who serves as the Japanese initiation meeting chairperson who supports Japanese ministry.
　It was his lecture at Kanazawa today.

　"Just as it is, then local becomes extinct."
　"Nothing is changed by conventional correspondence about a solution for birth rate declination."

　It's necessary to propose the drastic aid package which mentioned officials and
　the people and focused in the young generation.
　It was the important contents for many local political and financial circles attending.
　It's approximately 20 years before that I met Mr. Masuda. He was Iwate prefectural governor.
　I should not talk about political subject but I think he is the unique person of a stance who does not look for a
　bureaucrat and for a politician.
　And I have the long relationship by a sense of love and respect while leading and receiving variously.

　常日頃から私の作家人生を支えてくれている一人でもある。
　かねてから一緒に展覧会をしようと依頼を受けていた。
　そして、ついに実現する。
　暑い金沢の私の工房で、彼女はそのための制作を行った。
　偉大なアーチェストから二人展の依頼、心して臨みたいと思う。

　She is the fashion designer and well known in the world who represents Japan.

　She is also one of my important supporting parson for my life.
　And she was requesting collaboration exhibition with me for a long time. And it became realistic story.
　She worked all day long yesterday at my studio in Kanazawa by hot weather.

　I am very much honor to be able to have exhibition with her and I will try the best.

　It's held at Tokyo Ginza and a KH gallery from 9/15 days to October 25.

　猛暑の東京。草月流サマーセミナーの講師として昨日から招かれている。
　東京・草月会館には、イサムノグチのインスタレーションと作品が残されている。
　イサムノグチと勅使河原宏・前草月流家元は、私の憧れでもある。
　彼らが未だ宿る空間に、世界、日本中からの受講生に講義ができることは光栄だ。

　It is a heat wave in Tokyo. I was invited as a lecturer of a Sougetsu school of flower arrangement summer seminar
　from Yesterday.
　An installation and a work of Isamu Noguchi are left for Tokyo Sogetsu Hall.
　Isamu Noguchi and Tashigawara Hiroshi (past Sougetsu school of flower arrangement representative family)
　are my admiration.
　It's honor that a member of a class from the world and all Japan is able to lecture to the space at
　which they still alive.

 


　昨晩はぐっすり眠った。
　今朝の北國新聞を読む。
　石井竜也さんとのことが記事になっていた。

　元気回復！今日は制作に没頭する！

　I slept very well last night.
　This morning, I read Hokkoku Simbun Newspaper.
　It was topics about Musician Ishii Tatuya worked at my studio in Kanazawa.

　Fine recovery! It's immersed in making my work today!

 


　昼頃から足が地に着かない。そして目眩
　人と話していても焦点が定まらない。
　原因は疲れと脱水症状らしく、病院で点滴。
　夜、会議や会合にも出席したけど、心配しながら水分補給。
　何人かが気付いてくれたけど、有難かった。

　私は頭痛を未だ経験したことがない。目眩も初体験
　暑いのも寒いのも平気だったけど、歳なのかな！

　My feeling like I was walking on air and I had frequent spells of dizziness
　Even if I'm talking with a person, a focus isn't decided.
　The cause seems to be physical fatigue and dehydration and got intravenous drip injection at a hospital.
　Though I also attended a meeting in the evening, but I was worry, water supplement.
　Some people worried about me, and I was thankful.
　I have not experienced a headache yet. Dizziness is experienced for the first time.
　I was fine with a hot one and a cold weather, but it is my age!

 


　彼が再び金沢の工房へやってきた。
　土に向かい、土と語り、彼の制作したマスクに命が込められていく
　仏なのか？守護神なのか？
　工房の空気を変えてしまうくらい
　彼は真の芸術家なのだ。
　工房の一角は、彼専用のスペースとなっている。

　He came to my studio in Kanazawa again.
　He talked with clay. And all his mask was given life by his magic.
　Is it Buddha? Or palladium?
　To the extent air in studio was changed.
　He's a true artist.
　One corner in my studio is the space where he's for exclusive use.

 

 


　彼は京都に生まれ育ち、祖父は陶芸家・近藤悠三という人間国宝。
　彼とは同じ歳。互いも陶芸家。そしてずっと昔から仲間。
　8/29に金沢・つる幸で対談をすることになっている。

　He was born in Kyoto and his grand father Kondo Yuzo was ceramist and the living national treasure.

　With him, the same year born. Both of us are ceramic artist. And much, from the past, we are company.

　Nikkoが長男・祐希に依頼して出来上がったビアタンブラー「KIZUNA」が発売される。
　そして、東京・銀座の金沢でプレス発表が行われ、同時に長男と私との”親子対談"も催され、マスコミ関係者をはじめとして、
　多くの知人が参加してくれた。
　しかしながら、私の父と私との"親子対談"は、テレビと新聞の報道としてはあるのだが、公開で話したことは一度もないのだ。
　いつも厳しく育ててきた息子も26歳。
　しかし、このような機会を彼が得ることができたことに、父として感謝しなければならない。
　どうあれ、これからも彼へのスパルタ教育は続行する。

　Nikko (Japanese ironstone) relies on eldest son and Yuki and sells a finished beer tumbler "KIZUNA”.

　日本列島「現代アート」を旅する
　そんな本を出版された。評論家でも作家でもない独自の論法だ。
　そして、60歳を迎えられた。
　それを記念してパネルディスカションと誕生パーティが催された。
　初代、直島地中美術館館長。そしてその後に金沢21世紀美術館館長。今は東京藝術大学美術館館長も兼務されている。
　金沢という街に、この秋元雄史氏の存在の意義は大きい。世界中に活躍の場は益々拡がっていくことだろう。
　しかし、あくまで金沢を拠点として頂くことを市民は望んでいることも忘れないでほしい。
　私もこんな偉大な人に出会ったことで、人生を導いて頂いている。それは、私だけでなく多くの方々も同じ心境だろう。

　Travel Japan "contemporary art".
　He published such book. Even a critic is the original logic which isn't also an artist. And He will be 60 years old soon.
　A panel discussion and a birthday party were held.
　Founder for art museum director in the Naoshima. And the later, Kanazawa 21st century museum of
　contemporary art director. And now he is also Tokyo University of Fine Art Museum director.
　The significance of this Mr. Akimoto's existence is deep meaning for Kanazawa.
　It'll be that a place by the achievement is being spread in all over the world increasingly.
　But I also hope and wish of citizen that he feels Kanazawa as a foothold thoroughly.
　My life is changed by met such great person, too. Many persons as well as same feelings I maybe shared.

 


　台湾文化省の主催による日本との文化交流事業として、台湾に在籍する40人の大学教授の訪問を受けた。
　古くから台湾には、我家、父、そして私に多くの大切な友人がいる。
　今日、引率された林曼麗氏もその一人。
　建築、美術、分野は様々だが、意義深い交流が出来たと思う。

　My family, my father and I have many important friends in Taiwan from the old days.

　Happy, Couple! Everyone gathered in Kanazawa from the whole country.

　キャスターでもある福留功男さんが金沢を訪れ、十代大樋長左衛門、年雄という親子を取材してくれた。
　3日間に渡る収録だったが、どのような番組になるか楽しみだ。

　朝からテレビ朝日の取材があり、その後、日展の会議のため新幹線で東京へ向かう。
　そして、大切な友人でもある彼の個展に立ち寄った。長くベネチアに住む彼に、作品集が刊行された記念すべき展覧会なのだ。
　洗練されたフォルムと色は、彼独自のものだ。
　彼は素晴らしい人々にも囲まれている。作家としての高いスキルと相まって、ビッグなアーチストとなることだろう。

　There is coverage of Asahi National Broadcasting from a morning, and after that,
　I went to Tokyo by Shinkansen for a meeting of Nitten.
　And I dropped in at his exhibition which is also my important friend. The work collection was issued
　by him who lives in Venice long time, the exhibition which is commemorated.
　He's original for the sophisticated form and color. He's circled by wonderful people, too.
　That it'll be a big artist along with a high skill as an artist.

　12年間、大事に大事に乗った車を手放す。
　眠る前、ボディにそっと触れながら眺めてきた愛車なのに！

　今日、今まで一度も壊れたことがないのに、なぜかエンジンがかからない。
　私の愛車は、昔から必ずこんな反応をする。
　愛車って何なのだろうか？彼は、どこにも行きたくないのだ。
　悲しいなぁ！

　早朝に東京から金沢に帰る。
　茶婚式が我家で行われ、新たなカップルが誕生した。新郎新婦、ご両親、みんなが喜ぶ姿が印象的だった。
　幸せのお手伝い、私も幸せ！

　I return from Tokyo to Kanazawa early in the morning.
　Tea wedding was performed at my home and a new couple was born.
　I was very impressed by their parents and everyone looked so glad . I am happy maid and I am happy also!

 


　東京・歌舞伎座「七月大歌舞伎」の初日に招かれた。知人でもある坂東玉三郎さん、市川海老蔵さんなどの迫力ある演技に感動。
　 終了後、海老蔵さんのお母上(市川団十郎夫人)を囲む会食があり、歌舞伎の話題で盛り上がる。

　歌舞伎座は、隈研吾氏が設計。内装、外装、役者の衣装、全てが工芸だ。
　そして、多くの人々が着物で鑑賞する。
　歌舞伎は茶道。歌舞伎座は茶室。芝居と茶会。そこに古今の工芸が存在している。

　I was invited the first day in Tokyo Kabukiza Theater "July big kabuki".
　I'm impressed with the acting the force of Mr. Tamasaburou Bando and Mr. Ebizou Ichikawa.
　who are also my cquaintance.
　There was after dinner together with Ebizou's mother (Mrs. Ichikawa Danjuro) and it was topic of kabuki.

　Well known Architecture Kuma Kengo designs this Kabuki theater. Interior, the exterior, actor's costume
　and everything are arts and crafts. And many people appreciate it by a kimono.
　Kabuki is the way of tea. Kabukiza is a tea room.
　Pretense and tea ceremony. Arts and crafts in all ages exist there.

 


　ブルース ミラー オーストラリア大使が発起人となって、ポーリン・ガンデル氏の旭日小綬章受賞祝賀会が大使公邸で催された。

　彼女は、漆工芸品など多くの日本美術品を所蔵し、国内外の美術館等に貸し出しを行い、
　また2012年にナショナル・ギャラリー・オブ・ビクトリア内に日本美術専門ギャラリー開設に貢献した。
　また、茶道を通じた日本文化の普及にも尽力され、裏千家の重鎮でもある。

　スピーチでは、今後とも日豪関係の促進のために貢献していきたいと意欲を示された。

　その後、小笠原伯爵邸において、ガンデル夫妻が答礼夕食会を催された。

　親しい人々が国内外から集まり、ポーリン・ガンデル氏のメインゲストとして、
　秋元雄史・金沢21世紀美術館館長、漆芸家・北村辰夫氏と共に私も招かれた。

　ガンベル夫妻は、プライベートジェットで何度も金沢や能登にもお越しになっており、我家で作陶されたこともある。
　実業家として大成功を収められながら、12人の孫に囲まれた幸福な家庭を築かれている。
　益々、御元気に活躍をされてていくことを祈りたい。

　She received The Order of the Rising Sun and her celebration party was held at Australia ambassador official
　residence by a call of Ambassador Blues Miller .

　Mr. John Gandel and Mrs. Pauline Gandel are collecting Japanese Lacquerware items
　and many Japanese craft works.
　And they are contributing from their collections for abroad art museum also to Japanese professional gallery.
　Recently they had big establishment of fine arts in National Gallery of Victoria in 2012.

　They are also important parson for Urasenke Tea Foundation from their understandings about
　the way of Japanese tea.

　She'd like to contribute for promotion on a Japan-Australia relation with this continues, she made a speech.

　After that Mr and Mrs Gandel held acknowledgment dinner party in Ogasawara count house.

　Close friends from domestic and abroad,
　I was invited as main guests with President of Kanazawa 21st Century Museum Akimoto Yuji
　and Lacquer artist Mr. Kitamura Tatsuo.

　They are coming to Kanazawa and Noto many times by a private jet,
　and they have been made tea bowls at my studio.

　Though they are already great success businessman, building the happy family with circled by 12 grandchilds.
　I'd like to wish that they will continue their own activities forever.

 


　玉川学園の仲間が町田で集まることになった。なぜなら、高校、大学と通った玉川学園が近くにあるからだ。
　私達の友情は、Facebookなど必要としないほど昔から絆が深い。
　金沢から町田まで、大幅に短縮された移動時間。そして、なかなか会えなかった友人が隣に座っている。
　それでも我々の青春の記憶は、益々風化していく。
　皆が久しぶりに会う私を大歓迎してくれた。自分確認のためにも、本当に行って良かった！ありがとう玉川学園の仲間達。

　We gathered at Machida. Because there is Tamagawagakuen which passed with a high school and a university
　in the neighborhood.
　Our bond is so deep from the past that Facebook doesn't need our friendship.

　The traveling time reduced substantially from Kanazawa to Machida.
　And my friend who couldn't meet easily sits down on my next. Still our young memory is weathering increasingly.

　They welcomed me even though everyone did not meet after a long time.
　it. I realized myself I really feel it was good to attend with my friends! Thank you very much,
　I really love Tamagawagakuen.

 


　彼の祖父は人間国宝。父親は一年の半分は海外で制作する国際派。
　そして、彼も国内外で人気の高い作家なのだ。
　だから中里家は唐津焼の名門なのかもしれない

　ゆっくりとした時間が過ぎていく工房で
　ひたすら轆轤を引く彼の姿。美しかった。
　そして、再会を誓う。

　His grandfather was living national treasure. His father is making work in abroad almost half year.
　And he has high reputations from domestic and abroad.
　So it may be the reason why Nakazato family is a distinguished family from Karatsu.

　Time slowly is passing at the studio.
　His style of potter's wheel making is beautiful.
　And our reunion is promised.

 


　たった一日の九州。弾丸ツアーで陶芸家の友人を訪問。

　彼は、昨年52歳という若さで人間国宝の指定を受けたばかり。
　突然なのに温かく迎えてくれた。
　互いの両親も友人、話がはずむ。
　プラチナと吹き墨の高い技術は、国宝にふさわしい作品だ。
　美術館、ギャラリー、自宅、その佇まいは歴史の証。
　今泉家、そして14代
　正しく、すべてに尊敬できる家柄だ。

 


　4月14日　陶芸家・青木清高先生が57歳で亡くなった。
　たった一つ年上で、よく似た環境で育った私達。
　彼は静かな人で、芸術も音楽も愛した人。
　かたや私は、子供の頃から問題児。
　彼が静なら私が動。その生き方、いつも彼が目標だった。
　亡くなる10日前、互いの長男のことを語りあったばかり。
　それが最後の彼との会話。
　彼の実家、有田にやっと来ることができた。
　彼の身の前で、どうしても手を合わせたかったから。
　冥福を祈りたい。

　A ceramic artist Mr. Aoki Kiyotaka died of 57 years old on April 14.
　We grew up by the really similar environment and he was only one year older than me.
　He was a quiet person and loved art and music.
　I was a problem child for a long time.
　Perhaps he's silent, I'm noisy.
　He proved honest life-style, and he was my target.
　I have just talked about each eldest son in beginning April.
　That's the last our conversation.
　It was possible to come to his home to Arita finally.
　Because I wanted to put a hand together.
　I'd like to wish for his rest in peace.

 


　4月に東京都美術館で始まったこの展覧会。その後、日本各地を巡回している。
　そして、明日から金沢21世紀美術館で開催される。
　朝からその準備のために、皆が集まった。
　内閣総理大臣賞を受賞した私の作品も、地元金沢で紹介される。
　是非、ご覧ください。

　This exhibition which has started at Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in April.
　After that it exhibits around a various part of Japan, and it's held at Kanazawa 21st Century Museum from tomorrow.
　My work which received from the Prime Minister Award is also introduced at same time.

　金沢泉丘高等学校
　この権威ある進学校を石川県下で知らない人はいない。
　親戚、従兄弟の多くは、この学校の出身者だ。
　私が中学3年の時、強いプレッシャーに襲われたことがあった。
　この高校に行きたくても行けそうもなかった。
　もちろん、そんな理由だけではなかったのだろうが
　将来を悲観して、出来もしない自殺も考えたりした。
　しかし、担任の先生、友達、母親、皆が私を助けてくれた。
　結果、東京・玉川学園へ進学した。
　そして長い間、この記憶は脳裏に封印されたままだった。

　人生とは不思議なものだ。
　長男、次男、幸いなことに二人ともこの高校でお世話になった。
　私は、これまで行ったこともなかったPTA。理事、会長を務めた。
　想定外の経験は、子供達のおかげかもしれない。

　今年度、この高校は国のＳＧＨ(Super Global High School)の指定を受け、
　グローバルな社会課題に関する研究開発を進めることになった。
　石川県教育委員会からの委嘱によって、私は運営指導委員会委員を私は務めることになった。
　真摯に取り組みたいと思う。

　笑い話かもしれないが、デジャブとは、こんなことなのかもしれない。

　Kanazawa Izumigaoka High School
　Probably all the people knows this school in the Ishikawa prefecture.
　Much of a relative and a cousin is a former student at this school.
　I was a last junior high school student, I had been attacked by the strong pressure.
　Even if I'd like to go to this high school, it was not possible to go.
　Of course, it wouldn't be only such reason.
　The self-murder who can't be pessimistic about the future and also do
　But a teacher in charge, friends, mother and everyone helped me.
　It resulted and I went to Tokyo Tamagawagakuen.
　And for a long time, this memory was still sealing its mind up.

　A life is a strange.
　Eldest son and the second son went to this high school by good luck.
　I had not been to the PTA. However I became as a director and a chairperson.
　Experience in assumption outside may be from children's favor.

　This high school received designation of national SGH (Super Global High School) in this year.
　I'm going to serve as the operation guidance member of a commission from Ishikawa Prefecture.
　I'd like to wrestle sincerely.

　It may be the funny story, but it is also one of the déjà-vu.

 


　毎年、ホテル日航金沢から、趣向を凝らしたバースデイケーキが届く。
　これまで、愛車ポルシェのデザインだったりもした。
　今年は、私が関わっているプロバスケットボールチームがテーマだった。
　金沢武士団（サムラジズ）のロゴ入りの大きなケーキだ。
　粋な計らいに感謝しております！

　Every year, I receive the birthday cake with elaborated ideas from Kanazawa Nikko Hotel.
　Up to now, it was also the design of my favorite car Porsche.
　This year, that theme was the professional basketball team which I am very much involving now.
　A big cake with a logo of Kanazawa Samuraiz.
　I'm thankful for smart arrangement from Nikko Hotel.

 


　今までと違った57回目の誕生日。
　早朝から夕刻まで10席、大切な茶会の席主を務めた。
　床の間には、井上有一の書、釣花入、そして鏡。
　多くを語らないが、それが私の誕生日のメッセージ。
　そして、亡き伊住政和氏への敬愛の念。

　水屋を私の仲間が取り仕切り、皆が楽しそうだった。
　参席いただいた大切な招待客の皆様
　両親、亡き妹の娘も参加してくれた。

　夜は、茶会の打ち上げと誕生会。
　皆に囲まれて嬉しい誕生日だった。

　多くの方々からの誕生日の祝意をいただいた。
　幸せ者の私？かもしれない！

　It is the different time of 57th birthday.
　I was host for the mportant tea ceremony from early morning to the evening.
　I had Inoue Yuichi calligraphy, hanging flower vase and mirror at the Tokonoma.
　I do not much talk, this is my birthday message on the birthday.
　And sense of love and respect to Mr. Izumi Masakazu.

　My friends managed and prepared for tea-things, and everyone had good time.
　All my important invited guest, my parents and younger sister's daughter participated, also.

　Dinner was my wonderful birthday party.

　I received a lot of celebrations on a birthday from many persons.
　Am I happy person? Maybe ?

　明日は私の57回目の誕生日。そして茶会の席主を務める。
　石川県小松市には、裏千家始祖である仙叟居士を偲ぶ茶会がある。
　準備良し！明日は、全国からのお客様をお招きする。

　Tomorrow will be the 57th time of my birthday.
　And I will be the host of the tea ceremony.
　There is a tea ceremony organization which remembers of the Urasenke founder ‘Senso’ at Komatsu, Ishikawa.
　Preparations Iam ready! I will have many of invitational guests from the whole country tomorrow.

 


　川端有斗さん、石田悦子さんが、我家・芳土庵で、御親族、御友人が見守る中で結婚式を挙げられ、
　幸せそうな新たなカップルが誕生した。

　茶婚式とは、茶道の礼義作法に基づくもので、我家と金沢のホテルと真剣になって創り上げた挙式なのだ。
　それぞれに結婚される方々を想い、都度の道具合わせで行うのだが、準備は我家にとっては大変な労力でもある。

　しかし、今日のように心から皆が喜ばれている姿が、我家にとっても有難いことなのだ。

　県外、地元、すでに多くの方々が、当家で茶婚式を挙げられている。
　新郎新婦の希望する日時と私のスケジュールが重なる大安の休日はかなりの予約となっている。

　新しい夫婦が、参列者と一体となって厳かな時間が流れていく。この喜びを感じられるのは、私だけの特権かもしれない。

　笑い話ではあるが、数年前から再開したゴルフ。本年は2度プレイしただけ。
　それは、それか！

　Mr. Kawabata arito and Ms. Ishida Etsuko had wedding at Ohi Chozaemon Hodoan tearoom.
　Chakonshiki is based on fee right manners of a tea ceremony,
　hotels in Kanazawa and my family seriously created up.
　We think of the person who gets married in each, we change our preparations every time,
　it means also serious effort for my home.

　But that everyone appreciated sincerely like today is that I'm also thankful for my home.

　Many couples had chakonshiki wedding from outside area and local area.
　New couple and I we make sure for our date and time. The most of Taian holidays are already reserved.

　Time slowly runs with new couple and attendance people.
　This is only my special privilege.

　It's the funny story, I started play golf which resumed from several years ago.
　I had only twice in this year. Oh! It’s OK!

　彼らは建築的な視点として、我家の武家屋敷、茶室、隈研吾氏設計のギャラリーなどを関心をもって視察した。
　古い日本の家屋の活用の仕方を学ぶことが旅の目的だそうだ。

　Prof. Mart hew T.Jarosz and his 15 students visited Ohi Museum.
　They had architectonic viewpoint and the interest about Samurai residence in my home,
　a tea room and the gallery who designed Kuma Kengo.
　They want to learn the manner of the utilization in an old Japanese house is the purpose of travel.

 


　全国を巡回しているこの展覧会。
　6月16日から金沢21世紀美術館で始まる。
　私は最高賞の内閣総理大臣賞を受賞している。
　その作品が金沢でも紹介される。

　This exhibition making the rounds around the whole country.

　I was awarded by the Prime Minister prize of top prize.

　中国最大の旅行雑誌が我家を取材に訪れた。

　金沢特集の中で、当家茶室、庭園、大樋美術館などを大きく紹介してくれるそうだ。

　The biggest travel magazine in China visited my home in coverage.

　It's said that they specially introduce our tea rooms, garden and Ohi Museum in the Kanazawa special story.

 


　エルビスプレスリー、ビートルズ、数々のミュージシャンが殿堂入りしている。
　その基金の理事達が金沢を視察、我家にも訪問された。
　そんな彼らは皆がアーチストで、日本の文化に大変な興味を抱いている。
　残念なことに写真を撮り忘れてしまった。

　Elvis Presley, Beatles and many famous musicians have become the Hall of Famer.
　President Greg Harris and other directors of the fund had Reserch trip to Kanazawa and visited to Ohi Museum.
　Everyone is an artist and such they're holding serious interest in Japanese culture.

　3日間の世界会議の最後の日。
　13人の海外市長などが我家を訪問された。
　大樋美術館を父・長左衞門が説明役として、茶室芳土庵では山野之義金沢市長が席主となって茶会が催された。
　その後、大樋工房に移動して皆が茶碗を制作した。
　彼らには、忘れられない金沢の思い出となることを願いたい。

　The last day of a world conference for 3 days.
　Over 13 overseas mayors visited my home.
　My father 10th Ohi Chouzaemon explain at Ohi Museum, Mayor of Kanazawa Yamano Yukiyoshi was the host
　by tea-ceremony in Hodoan Tearoom..
　After that everyone moved to Ohi studio and made tea bowls.
　I' hope everyone could share good Kanazawa's memory and never forget this moment.

　熱狂する観客の中、試合は素晴らしい内容だった。
　ダンクシュート、高度なフォーメションプレイ！
　日本のバスケットボールの試合を久しぶりに見たけど面白い。

　内緒で個展を抜け出し、高崎から東京・有明まで行ってしまった。

　I went to BJ final game of Basketball for Hamamatsu and Akita
　With my Kanazawa friends.
　During an excited audience, game was the wonderful contents.
　Dunk shot and high formation play!
　A Japanese basketball game was seen after a long time, but it's fascinating.
　"Kanazawa samuraiz" some day! Surely! At this Ariake Corosium!

　I sneak out of my exhibition secretly and have gone from Takasaki to Ariake, Tokyo.
　Everyone of the Takasaki Takashimaya exhibition person concerned. I'm sorry.

 
 


　高崎高島屋個展でのトークにたくさんの人が集まってくれた。
　高崎の人々は、皆がフレンドリーで、話に熱が入った。

　I move from Kanazawa to Takasaki early in the morning. The Hokuriku area Shinkansen is really convenient.
　The exhibition which has started from the day before yesterday.
　After a gallery toque will be done from 14:00 tomorrow. It's expected to stay until Sunday.

　フェルナンド カサド カネキュー氏は、世界中を旅しながらフィルムを取り続けている。
　すでに250人にインタビューしたそうだ。
　そして今日、私を選んでくれた。
　「人の為に都市が存在する」
　そんな彼の長旅の学びを教えてくれた。

　Dr.Fernando Casado Cañeque is taking film while traveling all over the world.
　It's said that they interviewed around 250 people already.
　And he chose me today.
　Towards Human City!
　He told me that thing from his learning of long journey.

 


　彼がまた工房にやって来た。

　そこに私はこれからのキーが隠されている気がするのだ。
　ソロプチミストは女性の集まりだ。
　能登から全ての女性に、そんな日本を伝えたい。

　If that classic Japanese tea ceremony was demonstrated at contemporary architectural space in New York."
　That tea ceremony may be able to see in contemporary art..
　I believe that our future key is hidden there.

　試合の合間には、チアーの活躍が必須。
　全国からオーディションに駆けつける。
　地元のマスコミ取材もある中で
　滝田美帆さん、赤池社長とともに審査員を務めた。

　It is important achievement of cheerleade between games.
　Young women gathered for the audition from the whole country.
　I was a judge with Ms. Takida Miho and President Akaike.
　Kanazawa Samuraiz ! It has risen!

 


　黒田力郎君、麗名さんが我家で茶婚式を挙げた。
　そして、披露宴に出席させていただいた。
　乾杯の時に述べさせて頂いたが、黒田家と我家は縁が深い。
　力郎君の両親が結婚した時、それは私の人生で初めて披露宴出席でもあった。
　そして力郎君が生まれ、彼の母君は我家の大切なスタッフとなっている。
　彼のお祖母様は、私の母と幼馴染み。80歳を超えたが二人とも元気でいる。
　有難い縁が続いている。

　Mr. Kuroda Rikirou and Ms. Reina had The Way of Tea married at my home.I also attended a wedding reception
　I told at a toast, my family is closely connected with Kuroda family.
　When his parents got married, that was also first wedding reception attendance in my life.
　And Rikirou was born and his mother is my important staff today.
　Another important thing is his grandmother and my mother are childhood friend.
　Both of them are over 80 years old and keeping good conditions.
　I have to appreciate these beautiful relations continues forever.

　呼び物の引合い（ケンカ）は圧巻だ。
　b威勢のいい拍子木とともに、若衆が相手方の行燈を壊し合う。
　その迫力に圧倒されるのだ。

　The city of Kanazawa and Nanto(Toyama Pref) has continued deep culture relationship.
　Every year over 50 people is officially visiting for this festival from Kanazawa. And we have dinner together.
　Then around midnight that climax comes.
　Young partipating peoplee breaks the other opposite party's huge paper-covered lamp each other
　with a lively wooden clapper.
　I'm overwhelmed by this force.

 


　仏ミシュランの星に輝き続けるモダンキュイジーヌの先駆者、
　ローラン・プルセル氏（南フランス・モンペリエ・「ル・ジャルダン・デ・サンス」オーナーシェフ）。
　サンス・エ・サヴール料理長鴨田猛氏が、我家の隣である金城楼主人・土屋兵衛氏の紹介で表敬された。
　世界を代表する料理人に一度に会えることは、金沢に住む特権かもしれない。

　To be able to meet with worldwide chefs at same time may be the special privilege which lives in Kanazawa.

 


　大切な知人が古希を迎えられの茶会が催された。
　限られた招待客だけの濃茶席、薄茶席、展観席では、宗達、光悦の文と共に私の水指が飾られていた。

　夕暮れに観た富士山と駿河湾。
　そして、そっと流れる時間。
　それは、招かれた人々しか知らない景色。
　一生忘れることはないだろう。

　My important acquaintance became 70 years old and hosted Tea Ceremony yesterday.
　There are 3 places by only invited guests for the thick tea,thin tea and exhibit tea room
　was displayed by Tawaraya Sotatsu, Honami Koetsu letter and my water container.

　Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay has been seen in the evening. And the time run and passes quietly.
　That's the scenery only invited people know.
　It wouldn't be forgot for life.

　コートもユニフォームも石川県の伝統工芸を応用する
　強いだけではなく、礼儀正しい選手を育成することも大切だ
　サムライがコートを走り回る日は近い。
　金沢の若手経済人の夢がここにある。

　The bran (Japanese Fu) is the important material of the Kanazawa dish.
　For a long time, Fumuroya has been established history for a long-time in Kanazawa.

　昨日、安倍晋三 内閣総理大臣が金沢を訪問された。
　金沢駅構内の視察では、馳浩衆議院議員が私の作品を説明しながら、今回の内閣総理大臣賞の受賞を報告してくれた。
　続いて総理が視察された金沢シェアハウスでは、住民代表として私の叔母(94歳)が懇談した。

　受賞直後に総理の金沢視察、そして叔母が懇談するなど偶然とはいえ、有難き境遇となった。

　Prime Minister Abe Shinzo visited Kanazawa yesterday.

　Member of the House of Representatives Hase Hiroshi reported my recent prize of this Prime Minister award
　by an inspection of Kanazawa station yard while explaining my work.
　Then next visied was kanazawa Shear House and my aunt (94 years old) talked as a resident representative there.

　Such as Prime Minister's Kanazawa visieted was just after my award and my aunt could have a chance to talk.

　These circumstances are coincident and it was thankful.

　途中で見た二つの霊峰。
　それは、白い山と二つとない山。
　何と美しい名称なのだろう

　I flew for Haneda Airport from Komatsu Airport. There is work in Yokohama from today.
　I saw two sacred mountains from the way.
　White Mountain,never has same one.
　Such a beautiful word Japanese is shearling.

　2005年米国コロラドでの公開制作などで、一緒になったこともある。

　第71回現代美術展は石川県下最大の美術展。今年は、審査員を務めた。
　今日、工芸を解説。
　先人が長い歴史の中をかけて、伝統も現代も許容してきた。
　だから多くの大芸術家が生まれ、若い作家が育つ環境もそこにある。

　これからも続いていくのだろうか？我々には、大きな責任がある。

　The 71st Ishikawa Prefecture Art Exhibition.Ii is the biggest art exhibition in Ishikawa prefecture.
　I was a judge this year.
　This area craft artists are establishing both side of tradition and contemporary.
　That is why so many great artists are born and young artists grow up by this environment here.
　Is ii continuing ? We shear important responsibility.

　増田寛也 元総務大臣夫妻、俳優 辰巳琢郎氏はじめ、友人、知人、コレクター、
　私の応援団がたくさん駆けつけてくれて嬉しい時間だった。

　人に支えられていることを実感した一日。

　Artists had chance to talk from Art Crafting Towards The Future Exhibition.
　Many of my friends and collectors such as The former Minister Masuda Mikiya and
　Actor Tatsumi Takurio gathered for my talk.

　A downtown is heavily traffic with mostly sunny and a full-blown cherry blossom.

　I attend for Japan Arts and Craft Association Meeting as a member of director.

　「伝統工芸とデザイン」
　デザイナー 浅葉克己氏、CGアーティスト 河口洋一郎氏、照明デザイナー 海藤春樹氏と共に語りあった。
　伝統工芸に関わる参加者もいて、熱気溢れる時間でもあった。

　池坊美佳さんをナビゲータに、小山泰生さんと共に生花に挑む。
　斬新さを狙ったのだが、難しいものだ！

　I challenge an arranged flower as well as Mr. Yasuo Koyama by Ikenobo Mika for a navigator.
　I aimed at novelty, difficult!

 


　富山から一旦金沢に帰る。
　全国から集まった特別ツアーのお客様に、茶会を催した。
　皆さんに喜んで頂けて嬉しかった。

　I return from Toyama to Kanazawa once.
　I hosted a tea ceremony for a customer of the special tour that they gathered from the whole country.
　I was happy because everyone could be glad.

 


　昨日からはじまった文化戦略会議
　「富山の印象が何故薄いのか？」
　朝一番のセッションは、パネラーとして登場。
　中井美穂さん、太田麻衣子さん、堀紘一さん、そして私が語り合う。
　隣町だから私が選ばれたのだろうが、かなり面白い会話になった。

　富山大学を会場に大勢の文化人が語リあう。

 
 


　金沢市工芸展は、若手作家の登竜門ともなっている。
　71回目の最高賞受賞者は、斬新な加賀友禅の着物を発表した毎田仁嗣君。
　祖父も友禅作家。それを継いだ父親は無言を貫きながらも受賞した長男の姿を写真にする。
　こんな瞬間を私は目撃した。
　もちろん、こんな父子の関係は彼らだけではない。今も金沢に生きる人達の伝統的景色なのだ。

　この展覧会を主催する金沢市工芸協会は、200人以上の工芸作家が所属している。
　会長は文化勲章受章者で日本芸術院会員。顧問には人間国宝が3人。
　皆、受賞しながら同じ経験を積み重ねた先輩達でもあるのだ。

　毎回、ギャラリートークで私はそんな話を引き出しながら、金沢の今を確かめているのかもしれない。

　Kanazawa-City Crafts Competition involves a gateway of an artist of the young people.
　The 71st time of best award was Mr. Maida Hitoshi, a kimono of Kaga Yuzen young artist.
　His grandfather was a Yuzen artist, the father who continues also and never has warm word to eldest
　son but took pictures during the ceremony. I was witnessed such a moment.
　Of course, such father and child's relation isn't only the case.
　Now is also the traditional scenery of the people who live in Kanazawa.

　More than 200 artists belong to the Kanazawa City Crafts Council which sponsors this exhibition.
　A chairperson is an Order of Cultural Merit awarder of the decoration, Member of Japan Art Academy.
　For an advisor, 3 of living national treasures.
　Everyone is also the superiors who piled up the same experience while winning.
　It may be the one by which I'm making sure of Kanazawa's now while getting such account each
　time by a gallery toque.

 
 


　毎年、招待を受けて拝見しているが、彼女の進化し続けるデザインセンスに脱帽だ。

　I receive an invitation every year also I am always admired of her sense of design which keeps evolving.

 
 
 


　写真家 山岸伸氏が、様々な世界で輝いている男の人達の”今の顔”を撮影した作品展が始まった。
　横綱白鵬関、衆議院議員 西村康隆氏、俳優 松尾貴文氏、歌手 武田鉄矢氏、脳科学者 茂木健一郎氏など多才な方々の中で、
　私の写真も飾られいる。

　This exhibition which he took a picture of the people's male" face now" spangled with the various worlds.
　Such as Grand champion sumo wrestler Hakuho. A member of the House of Representatives
　Mr. Nishimura Yasutaka and actor Matsuo Takafumi,singer Mr. Takeda Tetsuya,cerebral scientist Mogi Kenichiro
　and my picture is also displayed.

　ピアノも演奏され、ワークショップも高いレベルのなのだ。
　私のことも紹介下さり、共にトークする機会を頂いた。

　11:30 このホテルの内装にも関わり、竣工式に招かれた。
　ホテルロビーには、私のクレイワークが8枚。
　客室の全てにも、金沢卯辰山工芸工房研修生の作品が飾られている。
　工芸が建築と関われる実例が示されている。

　Eight of my clay work panels hangs at the hotel lobby.
　Also work from the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Crafts Center is displayed in the each guest rooms.

　09:30金沢駅の陶壁の除幕式終えた直後に、この会社が竣工を迎えた
　新しい金沢駅にふさわしい外装、そしてエレベーターからの車が美しく演出されている。
　そんなハイセンスな建築の内装を手掛けた。
　金沢駅周辺に新たなシンボルタワーの誕生だ。

　北陸新幹線開業まで後5日。金沢駅に父の陶壁が完成した。
　構内の最も大切な場所に10メートルを超える仕事。
　87歳の父ではあるが、何度も大きな紙に構図と絵を描いた。
　構想に半年。私にも正月は無かった。
　でも、父の仕事を真に手伝ったのは初めてだ。
　父子の矛盾が消えた気がする。
　北陸新幹線、金沢駅。それは50年の歳月。
　そして人との縁。そんな境遇の御蔭。

　Hokuriku Shinkansen opening is later for 5 days. Father's mural has been completed in Kanazawa station.
　The work size exceeds over 10 meters in the most important location.
　Father Ohi Chozaemon is 87-year-old, but a picture was drawn on the big paper with composition many times.
　In the plan, half year.
　I had no New Year's, too.
　But it's for the first time that I helped my father with work truly.
　I think father and son contradiction went off.
　The Hokuriku Shinkansen and Kanazawa station. The time when that is over 50 years.
　And it is happened by the relationship with the person. Grace of such circumstances.

　そして、父、長左衛門の大きな陶壁が完成した。
　回りにあった足場も撤去され、姿を現した。
　父の仕事を全てにサポートしたのは、初めてかもしれない。
　8時45分。石川県知事などが出席しての除幕式が行われる。

　Morning and 2:00.
　It's very busy for today's completion in the station.
　And a big mural of my father Ohi Chouzaemon will be completed also.
　The surrounding equipment was removed and work appeared.
　May be for the first time I supported completely father's work.
　8:45. Governor of ihikawa will held for the unveiling ceremony.

　今日は、お雛様の日。
　そして、亡き妹の誕生日。我家には特別な日でもある。朝は、静かな時間だった。
　午後、ドラマのロケ班が我家にやってきた。
　一瞬にしてギャラリーが撮影現場となった。
　金沢を舞台にした船越英一郎さん主演の2時間ドラマだそうだ。

　Today is a girl day and birthday of my dead younger sister.
　It's a special day in my home. Morning was quiet time.

　Drama film group came to my home in the afternoon.
　A gallery space in a moment, and changed a film site.
　It is 2 hours TV drama around Kanazawa by Actor Eiichiro Funakoshi。

 


　東京から金沢に帰ると、彼女が我家に立ち寄ってくれていた。
　元ミスユニバース日本代表、そして写真家。
　同じ石川県出身者として尊敬してきた友人でもある。

　When I returned from Tokyo to Kanazawa, She just visited at my home.
　Former Miss Universe Japan Representative and photographer.
　I respect her and we were born in Ishikawa Prefecture together.

 


　今日のすべてのイベントが終わった。
　ホテルの部屋から眺める夜景
　美しいのに、何故か寂しさが漂う。
　そして、遠い過去を深く思い出す。
　薄れていた時間は、鮮明にはならない。
　失った人も戻ることはない。
　それが寂しくて、あの頃が懐かしい。

　Today's all events have ended.
　The night view I see from the room in a hotel
　Loneliness floats on that it's beautiful for some reason.
　And the far past is remembered deeply.
　Old time memories doesn't become clear.
　The person who lost doesn't return, either.
　That's deserted, and that time is homesick.

 


　金沢の有名料亭である金茶寮が提案するこの企画。
　今回は、東京グランドハイアットホテル・旬房で催された。
　招かれた、ギュセル•イスマイルザーデ アセルハイシャン大使はじめとした都内 VIPの人々が、
　金沢から運ばれた食材で加賀料理が振舞われた。

　ゲストで招かれた、金沢21世紀美術館館長 秋元雄史氏、能楽師 渡辺荀之助氏、食空間プロデューサー 木村ふみ氏、
　そして私が金沢文化を語り合った。

　This project from the Kincharyo which is a famous Japanese-style restaurant in Kanazawa.
　It was held at Tokyo Grand-Hyatt-Melbourne-Hotel.
　The Tokyo area made GYUSERU and at the beginning of a
　Mr.Gursel Ismayilzada Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan and some of VIP were invited
　for this event, and Kanazawa style of dinner.
　The guests of speaker were also talked with the director of Kanazawa 21st century Museum Mr.Akimoto Yuji,
　Noh actor Mr. Watanabe Junnosuke and food spatial producer Ms. Kimura Fumi about Kanazawa culture.

 


　千住博氏曰く、彼は音楽家だけでない。偉大な芸術家だ。
　「金沢で陶芸をさせて下さい！」
　そんな約束を彼としてから、速攻で彼は金沢にやってきた。
　大樋美術館で茶碗を観て、茶席で茶を喫しそして、工房で彼は制作し始めた。
　気がつけば夕食の時間は、とっくに過ぎていた。子供そのままの純真な眼で語る彼に、驚いた。
　彼にとっての私は僧侶で、工房は寺なのかもしれない。
　しばらく、そっと、彼のために時間があることを祈りたい。

　Painter Senju Hiroshi said to me
　Ishii Tatuya is as well as musician and he is a great artist.
　"Let me do ceramics at your studio in Kanazawa, please!" Ishii said
　He came to Kanazawa by a quick moment after such promiss was done.
　He saw tea bowls at my museum and had a tea. And time went so slowly.
　Then he has begun to make at my studio.
　The dinner time was passed already.
　And I was surprised of his eyes were changed just like child.
　Myabe for him I am a priest, and my studio is temple.
　I wish time should pass for a while and quietly for him.

 


　金沢とベルギー・ゲント市は姉妹都市。長い間、良好な関係を築いてきた。
　また、ユネスコ創造都市として、互いが工芸と音楽という領域で認定を受けている。
　また、そのような深い縁のお陰で、歴代のゲント市長や関係者が我家を訪問されている。
　今回の訪問者は、Maarten Weyler氏。ゲント王立音楽院・音楽学部長を務める氏は、
　明日、金沢21世紀美術館で講演をされることになっている。
　父も私もゲントを何度か訪れ展覧会を催すなどで、ゲントとの関わりは深い。
　金沢とゲント、工芸と音楽で新しい交流が生まれていくことだろう。

　Kanazawa and Belgium Ghent city are a sister city for a long time, and a good relation has been built.
　Also both us became member of UNESCO Creation City for field of craft and music.
　Also it is a reason why Ghent mayor of successive generations and the concerned people visited my family.
　Mr. Maarten Weyler visited on this time.
　He works at Ghent royal music academy and a music department chief will be lectured on at
　Kanazawa 21st Century Museum tomorrow.
　My father and I visited Ghent several times, we had exhibitions and has been concerned with Ghent citizen deeply.
　A new exchange by Kanazawa and Ghent, craft and music, something will start.

 


　先般、メールのやり取りをしたばっかりだった。
　体は大丈夫！そう書かかれていたのに！
　初めて会ったのは25年ぐらい前だろうか？
　三津五郎さんとのことで、忘れられないことがある。
　「魚屋宗五郎という歌舞伎の演目で、一番好きなシーンがある。大きな器で酒
　を飲む場面なんだよ！トシちゃん。俺の為に造ってくれない？その器、一生大事にするから！」
　その後、私が制作した器は坂東三津五郎氏の好みものとなり、演じる三津五郎さんを何度も目にしたのだった。
　それは、それは、嬉しかった。
　数々の思い出を秘めることにして、そっとお休みください。
　そして、ありがとうございました。

　I just exchanged mail with him almost 1 month ago and he said condition is OK! However he past away.
　It is about 25 years after I met him.
　I share and not forget one beautiful memory with him.
　He said
　"There is the one most favorite scene by a program of a kabuki called fishmon Sougoro.
　The situation which drinks sake by a big container! Don't you make my purpose?
　Because that vessel would be an important thing for my life!"
　After that vessel I made and became Mitsugoro Bando's Style.
　And I could attend his perform in many times. I was so proud and happy from his attitude.
　I keep many memories with him and please rest quietly.

 


　「海外セレブ、続々石川へ」
　デヴィット・ロックフェラー氏、ジョン・モンデール米国副大統領夫人、李登輝 元台湾総統など、
　今まで我家を訪ねてきた人々のことが記事となった。
　積み重なっていく歴史に感謝しなければなない。

　Mr. Devid Rockefeller, FirstLady of Former US Vice President John Mondale
　Former President of Taiwan Lee Teng-hui,,,,etc
　The people who have visited at my home so far were an article.
　I have to be appreciated for history piling up.

　「金沢が初めてという方を連れて行く店」
　「人にはあまり教えたくない行きつけの店」

　4ページの紹介だが、私なりに熟慮した。

　"the favorite restaurant I don't want to tell peoplee"

　It's 4 pages of introduction, I was hardly considered.

 


　北陸新幹線開業にともない、石川県は観光促進のためのビデオを作成している。
　工房で半日かけた収録、出来上がりが楽しみだ。

　Ishikawa-ken is making a video for sightseeing promotion after Hokuriku Shinkansen opening.
　It was half day at my studio and I am very much looking forward to watch that video,

 


　石川県庁のアテンドで表敬された寞邦富氏とお会いする。日中関係が危うい中で、文化の知日派は大切だ。

　I had a official meeting with Mr. Mo Bang-Fu by attending of Ishikawa Prefecture.
　While Japan-China relations are dangerous, the cultural pro-Japanese group is important.
