今年も様々なことがあった。
一番大きな出来事は母が亡くなったことだ。
しかしながら、父は90歳を元気に迎えることができた。
新しい時が刻まれていく。
寿齢500年を超える我家の松に祈らずにはいられない。

The last day of the year
It was also various this year.
The biggest affair is that my mother passed away.
But that my father bcame 90 years old vigorously.
New time is moving.
I am just praying to a pine tree in my home beyond a live age for 500 years.

 


　これは何？UFO?北朝鮮のミサイル？
　午後5時半ごろ、ロサンゼルス郊外のフリーウェイを運転中に謎の飛行物体を発見。
　今まで何度かUFOらしき物を見たけど、鮮明さに驚いた。
　結局、サンタバーバラにあるヴァンデンバーグ空軍基地から打ち上げられたSpaceXのロケットだったらしい。
　しかし驚いた。

　What is this? UFO? North Korean missile?
　During driving a freeway in Los Angeles suburb around 5:30pm, I found a mysterious flight object.
　The one which seems to be a UFO so far several times was seen, but I was surprised at clearness.
　In the long run the van in Santa Barbara seems to have been a rocket of SpaceX closed from
　Berg air base heavily.
　But I was surprised.

　今、サンディエゴ。夜中にホテルの向かい側にあるバーに行った。
　カウンターに座ると一人の酔っ払いが話しかけてきた。彼の名はエリックらしい。
　「邪魔なら退かすから！」と、バーテンダーが笑いかける。
　彼とかなり話した。そして、絶品のBBQと何杯かの地ビールは最高だった。
　店を去ろうとした時、よほど話し相手が欲しかったのか、彼が全てを支払ってくれた。
　ありがとう！エリック！そしてサンディエゴ。
　翌日、このバーが映画トップガンの撮影現場だったことを知った。

　Now I am San Diego. I went to the bar on the opposite side of the hotel I stayed at midnight.
　When I sat down on a counter, one drunk parson has spoken to me and moved my next seat.
　His name maybe seems to be Eric.
　And a bartender begins to laugh.
　I was said if I did like he could move back again.
　 BBQ and some of the local beer served it was the best.

　When I was trying to leave, he wanted to pay everything fir me.
　Thank you very much! Eric! And San Diego.
　I knew later this bar was a one of movie of top gun seen. Thank you Wrick and San Diego.

　企画したLeslie Itoさん、茶会をを催してくれた裏千家ロサンゼルス支部の山下宗裕先生、
　そして社中の皆様、秋葉玄吾 禅宗寺住職、そして旧友の池井宗宗之さん。ありがとうございました。
　ロサンゼルスの人々は、いつも私を歓迎してくれる。有難いことだ。

　I could meet and communicate with them. Anyway LA is the big city.

　羽田空港は快晴。小松空港は大雪。
　おかげで2時間遅延。
　日本は広い

　Haneda Airport is mostly sunny.
　Komatsu Airport is a heavy snow.
　Fortunately, 2 hours delays. Japan is wide

 



　母は石川県立中央病院で6月に亡くなった。
　そして間も無く、この病院は世界でも屈指の施設に生まれ変わる。
　谷本正憲 石川県知事との贈呈式があり、父の想いある作品が並べられる事になった。
　ライブラリーには大樋文庫も新設されることになっている。

　Ishikawa Prefectural Central Hospital and my mother passed away in June at this hospital.
　It's will be renewed soon. Even the world would be an outstanding hospital.
　It was that the work by which my father thinks and has that is displayed.
　Ohi library is also established also.

 



　ベンチャー企業の創業者が金沢に集まった。
　朝活で我家でも勉強会。
　皆んな若くて優秀。私も学んだ。

　Founders of a venture business gathered in Kanazawa.
　In the morning session, they studied at my home. Everyone, oh, they're young, and it's excellent.

　12/3 It's commemorated for tea-ceremony in Meguro-ku government office building tea room.
　That case is the first tea bowl use.

　20年前、先生の還暦祝賀会にも行った。
　70歳にしか見えない多才なデザイナー
　これからもお元気で！

　ハッカソン？
　“ハック” と “マラソン” を組み合わせた造語で、プログラムなどのテクノロジーを使って、
　短期間で全く新しいプロジェクトなどを生み出すイベントのことらしい。

　国際北陸工芸サミットの企画として富山県高岡市の伝統産業を職人や工芸作家と、エンジニアや研究者、
　アーティストが新しいなにかを生み出す試み、〈工芸ハッカソン〉が、開かれ視察した。

　アート×伝統産業×最先端技術の作品

　この最先端のハッカソンと、これまでにあまり出会う機会がなかった。
　工芸がマッチングするのだろうか？これからが楽しみだ。
　参加者の真剣な試みは、必ず明るい未来が訪れることだろう。

　それにしても会場となった高岡にある企業・能作さんは素晴らしい会社だ。

　Invents the project which is the named from the meaning of hack and marathon.

　Traditional industry in Takaoka-shi, Toyama, a craftsman, an artist and crafts, an engineer and a researcher

　瀬古利彦氏、古賀稔彦氏、飯山晄朗氏を招き、金沢香林坊ロータリークラブ(現在、私が会長)が３０周年記念イベント
　「人を活かす」をテーマに基調講演とパネルディスカッションが行われた。３７０名以上の参加で会場は超満員となった。

　これまでたくさんの良き学びの時間が準備されてきたが、研修の時間を終えて次の日の朝になれば、
　その多くを忘れてしまっているようだったが、今回は特別だったかもしれない。

　関わった金沢香林坊ロータリークラブの皆様、ありがとうございました。

　Mr. Toshihiko Seko, Mr. Toshihiko Koga and Mr. Iiyama Shiro had a panel discussion.
　This keynote speech and a panel discussion sponsored by Kanazawa Kohrinbo Rotary Club (I am present now)
　for the 30th anniversary. It became overcrowded with participation of more than 370 people.
　Time of a lot of good learning had been prepared up to now,
　but they seemed to finish time of the training and forget the much in a morning of the next day,
　but maybe this time was special.

　Thank you very much for everybody of Kanazawa Korinbo Rotary Club who concerned.

 



　「THIS IS 工芸 - 伝える。創る。-」をテーマに、100点以上の作品を通して、世界各地の工芸の潮流と動向を探り、
　工芸という文化の持つ意義と未来の可能性を考える展覧会が始まった。
　私も招待作家として作品が陳列されており、夜の作家交流会に招かれた。

　国際北陸工芸サミットは、来年は福井、そしてその翌年には金沢で開催されることになっている。
　金沢ではどんなことが出来るだろうか？
　北陸は一つなのだ！

　The exhibition which sounds a current of arts and crafts and the trend in the world various districts through
　more than 100 works.
　I was invited to be artist and attended meet-the-people session at night, too.

　And next year will be held by Fukui at Kanazawa in the next year for the international Hokuriku area
　Summit of arts and crafts.

　What kind of thing can be done at Kanazawa?
　Hokuriku area is one!

　今日は日展での会場当番。
　必要はなかったのだが、あまりにも静かな会場なので、自ら来場者に呼びかけてギャラリートークをやった。

　本人のトークもあるからか、人が多すぎて何も見る事が出来ない。そして、記念本を買ってのサイン会は長蛇の列だ。
　それも世界各国からで、さすが世界の安藤！

　安藤忠雄は、スプリチャルで建築の領域を超えている。だから世界が注目してきた理由がそこにある。
　日展はかってそんなアーティストの集合体だったはずだ。

　現在、過去、未来。再生する事は何なのかを深く学んだ気がする。

　It isn't necessary to compare, but because it's the next, it's compared.
　Today I have to take care that space for Nitten. There was no need,
　it was a too quiet space, so I called to a visitor and did a gallery talk personally.

　Tadao Ando exhibition is large-scale at the next Nitten.
　There are too much people, and it's possible to watch nothing maybe because
　there is also his talk was planned. And a commemoration book,
　it's bought, and, an autograph session is a long line.

　Tadao Ando of the world and Nitten of history in 110

　Tadao Ando exceeds the range of the spiritual construction.
　So the reason that the world has paid attention to him. Nitten overcomes,
　and should be an aggregate of such artist.

　Present, the past and the future. I think it was learned what it is necessary.

　I had Memorial lecture for great tea ceremony at Takayama Chanoyu-no-Mori Museum.
　I talked to 200 persons about Art & Crafts x feng shui.
　I am going to stay at Takayama tonight.

　I stopped in Shizuoka from Kanazawa for a project with the design in the morning, night is Tokyo.

　Specialty by Tomotsugu Wakiya chef.
　The feast of Kobako crab and Shanghai crab was the best.

　Men’s meeting with a photographer, an entrepreneur and a television station producer.
　The topic has not been simply.

　私の最大の弱点は娘の存在だ。
　小さい頃から私を悩ませてばかり。
　大好きなのに離れて行ってしまう。
　まぁ、それが娘か！

　娘の晴姿をこっそり見に行ったのだが、バレバレ。
　そして、車でなく娘を被写体にする人達に嫉妬する父でもあった。

　My biggest weak point is daughter's existence.
　I am always disturbed by her since young time.
　I like her very much but she always makes distance.
　Maybe this is my daughter!

　I went to see her working in hiding but it became too obvious.
　I was kind of mad to take her photo people instead of automobiles.
　I realized I am her father.

　This symposium was held by The Agency for Cultural Affairs and it was talked about variety of
　Japanese culture to the world.
　I was invited with artist Madura Sebastian, actress Nakagawa Shoko and modulator Tokyo Univerty Fine
　Art Museum Director Akimoto Yuji.

　我家に於ける茶婚式がユニークに進化した。

　金沢市と目黒区との友好都市協定調印式が茶婚式で執り行われた。
　前田家18代当主 利祐様を迎え、両氏の市長、議長が濃茶を喫しあいながら友好の契りを結んだ。

　茶人 奈良宗久と司婚者の私。新たな兄弟関係のはじまりにもなった気がする

　I produced tea wedding and it is progressing for the Kanazawa and Tokyo Meguro City
　friendship signing ceremony.
　Both of cities mayor shared tea with special guest The 18th Maeda Toshiyasu.
　My young brother Nara Sokyu and I, it means we are creating special moment for us.

 


　父が90歳（卒寿）を迎えた。
　若い頃と変わらない。
　有難いことだ。
　全てに感謝

　My father becomes 90 years old.
　He doesn't change from young time.

　昨年1月27日に襲名した。
　ワシントンD.C. 京都、東京、金沢、米子、姫路、大阪、名古屋、襲名披露の展覧会だった。
　そして2年がけのプロジェクトもついに千秋楽。
　昨日までの仕事から生まれた新しい作品と共に、横浜高島屋での襲名個展が始まった。

　10月31日まで開催。是非、お越し下さい。

　I succeeded on January 27 of last year.
　Washington D.C. Kyoto, Tokyo, Kanazawa, Yonago, Himeji, Osaka and Nagoya were an exhibition of succession.
　And this project for 2 years, at last,
　the last succession exhibition at Yokohama Takashimaya as well as the new work until yesterday has started.

　It's held until October 31. By all means, please come.

　昔、大雨でびしょ濡れの盲導犬を連れた方が我家を訪れたことがある
　そして我家の茶室に一緒に入ってもらった。
　その時からその方との友情が始まった
　彼は恵まれていると言いながら他者を支援している。
　いつか何かのかたちで私も、、、、、、

　石川県音楽堂で視覚障害者の方々への支援チャリティーを開催し、
　視覚障害者の方々を招き、1000人以上の人々が集まった。

　盲導犬と共存する方々との茶会、アンサンブル金沢のコンサート、そしてイルカさんの歌を皆が合唱した。

　ささやかではあるが貢献できたかもしれない。
　今、30周年を迎えた金沢香林坊ロータリークラブの会長を勤めている
　実現してくれた仲間達に感謝したい。
　全てにありがとう。

　One day, a person accompanied by a soaked guide dog has visited my family because of the heavy rain.
　And he entered a tea-ceremony room in my home together.
　Friendship with him has started from that time.
　He said he is blessed, so he's supporting same kind of peopl.
　Then I sated to think some day I'm 、、、、、、, too.

　It was held charity event for persons of visually impaired with more than 1000 people
　gathered at Ishikawa-ken concert hall.

　Tea ceremony with the person who coexists with a guide dog,
　a concert in ensemble Kanazawa and sang song together withMusician Iruka.

　It's small, but it may be able to contribute a little.
　I am the chairperson of Kanazawa Korinbo Rotary Club which just has been time of 30th anniversary, I'm working.

　I'd like to thank all fellows and others who achieved, too.

　二人のシンガポール人に金沢を紹介するテレビ番組取材があった。
　10月2日から朝から晩までの5日間、そして今日、工芸と茶道のルーツを辿る6日間と40カ所の撮影だった。
　この経験によって私自身がインバウンドの視点から金沢を再考することもできた。
　言語は全て英語、来年1月初旬にシンガポールで放映されるのと同時に、私も現地に出向き講演を行うことになっている。
　総務省からの企画を実行に移した、北陸放送、北陸メディアセンターの皆様、お疲れ様でした。

　There was TV program coverage which introduces Kanazawa for two Singaporeans.
　It was 40 places with 6 days from a morning to the evening about roots of arts and crafts
　and a tea ceremony from October 2.
　Also that TV documents were made by all English conversion.
　I myself could reconsider Kanazawa from an inbound viewpoint by this experience.

　It will be shown on early January of next year in Singapore.
　Then I'm going to Singapore at same time to have my lecture.

　Everybody of Hokuriku broadcast and Hokuriku media center who put a plan from the
　Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications.

　批判よりも提案へ、思想から行動へそして、リーダーとしての自覚を醸成するG1サミットメンバーと九州のリーダーたちが集まった。
　ハウステンボスを再生したHIS会長 澤田秀雄氏のキースピーチ、後は分科会が開催され、
　日本画家 神戸氏、人形師 中村氏、太宰府天満宮 権宮司 西高辻氏、ボストン コンサルティング グループ 御立氏と共に私も登壇した。
　麻生セメント会長 麻生泰氏のクロージングスピーチなどから
　「革新の情熱、伝える責任～文化の意義を再定義する～」重要なテーマを学んだ。

　I attended for the G1 Summit. People gathered from all over the world.
　Chaiman of HIS Sawada Hideo was a key speaker and I was invited one of discussion with Painter Jinbe and
　Puppet Master Nakamura, Dazaifu-tenmangu Nishitakatsuji and Boston Consulting A group adviserMitate sheared
　the platform.

　Also Asao cement chairperson Aso Yutaka had important clothing speech.
　Passion of innovation and told responsibility-cultural meaning are defined
　I learned an important theme.

　私は昔から都内の電車移動が苦手だ。

　亡くなられて10年。
　私も発起人のひとり、そして皆が集まった。
　その間に世の中は大きく変わった。

　今朝、金沢21世紀美術館にて鶴太郎さんも出席されて展覧会が開幕した。
　芸術家として鶴太郎さんと知り合って20年ぐらい経つだろうか。
　我家でも制作されたことが何度かあり、大樋美術館にも作品が所蔵されている。
　この展覧会にもいくつか陳列させていただいた。
　芸能人としてだけではなく、芸術家でいる鶴太郎さんを私は尊敬している。

　Actor and Artist Kataoka Tsurutaro attended his own exhibition at Kanazawa 21st century Museum of
　Contemporary Arts started in this morning.
　It has passed bout 20 years since I met him as an artist.
　There is a case that was produced several times at my studio and works also possesses in Ohi museum.
　It is also displayed some works in this exhibition.
　As a actor as well as to be artist, I respect him very much.

 


　クリュッグはフランスシャンパーニュを代表するブランド。
　オリヴィエ クリュッグ6世が主催するパーティーに主賓として招かれた。

　一つの素材で全てを作ることを共通のコンセプトとしてフランスからのミュージシャン、
　山田チカラ氏のフレンチ、そして数々のクリュッグを嗜んだ。

　ルミネスフレシュメント！とてもハイセンスで粋な時間だった。
　このようなパーフォマンスを金沢でやりたいと懇願された。
　きっと面白い事が出来ると思う。

　The French Champagne KRUG with 6th generation of Olivier Krug had a special dinner party and
　I was invited as a guest of honor.

　To make everything with one material as a common concept.
　French musician and French Chef Yamada Chikara liked much with KRUG.

　It was elegant moment by the high sense.
　I was asked by them to held in kanazawa in near future.I think it's possible to be fascinating.

 


　名古屋での個展を終えて東京にいる。
　先般、対談したフランス人間国宝の展覧会と運慶展を国立博物館で。
　また、日本橋三越での日本伝統工芸展とアートフェア、菊池智美術館での八木一夫、清水九兵衞展。
　表参道GYREでの工芸未来派展。そして最新のインテリア空間。

　アートは私をリフレッシュしてくれる。
　また、新たな制作に意欲がわいている。

　I finished my exhibition in Nagoya and I am in Tokyo now.
　I visited many museums and galleries.
　I was very much refreshed and get many energy for my work.

 


　7日間の名古屋での襲名展も、大盛況のうちに今日が最終日。
　愛する娘も東京から駆けつけてくれた。
　名古屋高島屋のスタッフの皆様、思い出深い展覧会となりました。
　ありがとうございました。

　My succession exhibition in Nagoya for 7 days is also prosperous, today is the last day.
　My lovely daughter could join from Tokyo, too.
　It was a deep meaningful exhibition for me.

　昨晩、制作で徹夜してしまった。
　そして、早朝の電車で名古屋に到着。
　今日からJR名古屋高島屋での襲名展が始まる。

　I sat up all night by my making work last night. And I arrive in Nagoya by early morning train.
　A succession exhibition in Nagoya starts from today. Until 27th.

 


　青柳正規 前文化庁長官とと共に茶会に招かれ、伊東順二 東京藝大教授の企画によるフランス人間国宝陶芸作家Jean Girel氏、
　釜師 畠春斎氏とのパネルディスカッションに参加。
　フランス政府の工芸支援の深さを知った時でもあった。

　I was invited Tea ceremony with Past Head of Culture Agency Aoyagi Masaki.
　And Tokyo National University of Fine Arts Professor Ito Junko produced this panel discussion with
　French Ceramic National Treasure Jean Girel and Metal Artist Hata Syusai.
　Now I can realize how much French government appreciated for the own crafts

 


　福井県には日本六古窯の一つである越前焼がある。
　公開制作での参加者とのコミニケーション博物館有意義だった。
　制作した作品は10月に焼成される予定。

　Echizen is the one 6 oldest kilns in Japan.
　I was invited to that school and it was good communication with audiences.
　My works will be fired on October Kiln.

　前田家と裏千家の絆は、両都市と我家も共通する。
　我家の茶室 芳土庵で茶道に基づいた締結式は、先人と歴史に感謝しながら執り行わさせて頂くつもりだ。

　Kanazawa-shi concludes a friendly city agreement with Meguro-ku, Tokyo.
　The bond of Maeda family and Urasenke is also common to two cities and my home.
　At Tea-ceremony room Hodoan in my home, The conclusion system based on the way of tea,
　it is appreciating history with a pioneer.

 


　私がこよなく愛する金沢のプロバスケットボールチームの選手激励会があった。
　B2に昇進してのシーズンが間も無くやってくる。
　私がデザインしたユニフォームで連勝を重ねていってほしい！

　I loved this professional basketball team and it was held players party.
　A season comes In first B2 league challenge for this team.
　I hope all players piling up consecutive victories by my designed uniform!

　昨晩、松山に着いた。
　裏千家松山支部長を務める塩崎恭久 前厚生労働大臣、愛媛銀行相談役 中山絃治郎 地区長など関係者との会食。
　その後、盟友でもある吉岡敏正 副支部長、永井宗和 副幹事長などと市内視察。
　そして、大阪、新居浜、松山、一連の巡回講演会が終了した。
　松山の皆様、ありがとうございました。

　I arrived at Matsuyama last night.
　The Yasuhisa Shiozaki previous Minister of Health,
　Labour and Welfare and who serve as Urasenke Matsuyama branch chief,
　the Ehime Bank counselor Koujiro Nakayama Chef circonscription had a official dinner together.
　After that the Toshimasa Yoshioka associate branch chief and Nagai Sowa who is also a sworn friend
　we had the city reserch until late night.
　And Osaka, Niihama and Matsuuama which is a series of lecture has ended.

　サンダーバードの運転見合わせ解除を待って
　新幹線のぞみに京都で乗り換え岡山まで
　特急しおかぜに乗り換え新居浜に到着

　長くて遠いけど、旅は好き。新居浜は初めての地かな？
　明日は新居浜、明後日は松山で講演予定

　Kanazawa's morning is a heavy rain flood warning. I waited for driving postponing release
　of a thunderbird a moment.
　Changed to the Shinkansen Nozomi in Kyoto, and it's to Okayama.
　Change again to a special express Soyokaze and arrive at Niihama.

　It's long and far, but I like travel. Maybe Niihama is a first place.

　It'll be expected to lecture tomorrow on Niihama and the day after tomorrow at Matsuyama.

 


　裏千家から巡回講師として派遣され、約500人の方々に話させて頂いた。
　テーマは「現代アートから観る茶道や工芸」
　日本文化、思考を変えれば世界が注目する。それは日本の未来。
　変わる勇気と変えてはいけない事柄。AIもそのように答えることだろう。

　大切な兄貴分 池田伴周さん、飯井克典さん、たくさんの旧知の仲間が大阪にもいる。有難い。

　I was invited as a visiting lecturer from Urasenke, and I spoke to about 500 persons.

　A theme, "the tea ceremony and the arts and crafts judged from contemporary art”
　When changing Japanese culture and thought,the world pays attention. That's the Japanese future.
　The courage which changes and the matter we aren't supposed to change. AI will be also to answer this.
　For my important friends Mr. Ikeda Tomohiro and Meshii Katsunori also have a lot of old companies in Osaka.

　昼、赤坂 blitz博報堂本社での日本文化フォーラムの幹事会に出席。

　その後、表参道ヒルズでの館鼻則孝リ・シンク展へ！若く優秀な作家が捉えている工芸、彼には未来が観えているようだ。
　素晴らしい！

　そして金沢に戻るたった4時間の東京。

　Noon at Akasaka blitz Hakuhodo headquarters.
　I attend an executive meeting of a Japan inter-design forum.

　After that to Tatehana Noritaka RI think exhibition at Omotesando Hills!
　It seems he is able to see in the future of crafts and it was an excellent exhibition.

　And Tokyo for only 4 hours when I return to Kanazawa.

 


　最近、先祖のことを考えるようになった。

　今日、不思議に思ったことがある
　祖先の霊を祀るお盆と終戦記念日が同時なのは偶然なのだろうか？
　そして、思い出したこと
　空襲警報と夏の高校野球のサイレン！
　戦争を知らないのに、子供の頃から同じに聞こえた。何故なのだろう？

　誰もいない金沢の名所で、時空と永遠を考えた。
　そして私の先祖が、今の私に何を告げたいのか、心で聞いてみたい。

　I came to consider an ancestor recently.
　I have wondered today.

　The Lantern Festival means ancestor's soul is deified and the war Memorial Day are same time.
　That simultaneous is accidental thing?

　And remembered thing
　Siren of an air alert warning and high school baseball in summer!
　Though I didn't know a war, I heard similarly from child's time. Why is it?

　Eternity was regarded as time and space at a famous place in Kanazawa where no one is here.
　And I'd like to ask what my family would like to tell me now of by the heart.

　金沢・まち博のイベントで、子供達が工房にやってきた。
　大好きな人をイメージ！そして心込めて作る！
　ほとんどがお母さんのためと答えた。
　お父さんって人気が無いのかな？
　無邪気な子供達と楽しい時間だった。

　Children came to my studio.
　The person each kids who likes very much and then imagined! Make with heart!
　Most kids answered mother is the best. What happened to Father?
　They were innocent children and fun time.

 


　知人は温和で、慈しみ深い趣味人。
　そして茶道の世界では知られた数寄者で親しくさせていただいている。
　丸の内にあった以前の事務所は移転したらしく、新しい住所を聞いて会いに行った。

　「汐留ビルディング」

　多国籍な人々がいるロビーから最上階へと案内され、浜離宮を眼下に東京湾が一望できる部屋で私を迎えてくれた。

　聞いてみるとそこは、ソフトバンク本社ビル。
　アート溢れるフロアーは、オーナー部屋といくつかの重役室。
　そして、知人がどんな仕事をされているのか初めて知ったのだった。

　何も知らなかった田舎者の私。笑える

　The acquaintance is wonderful person and has deep appreciation for the arts.

　I have visited his office in Marunouchi before and it was moved to the new address of "Shiodome building"

　Multinational people are in the main lobby and I was taken to the top floor,
　then I met him in the room where the Tokyo Bay. with view of Hama-rikyu under the eyes.

　I was realized there is Sofbank headquarters building. The floor where art overflows is an owner room
　and several executive suites. And I could know for the first time what kind of work an acquaintance was doing.

　I am countryman who knew nothing.
　It can laugh.

　東京藝術大学美術館館長 秋元雄史氏が出版した「驚きの金沢」が人気だ。

　私の読んだ感想
　・秋元さんが話しているかのような独特の文章
　マスコミ、役所、学芸のトリリンガル
　・単なる自叙伝ではなく、金沢人のための教本、金沢への遺言

　そして、秋元雄史氏、陶芸家 中村卓夫氏、漆芸家 山村慎也氏、そして私との出版を記念したパネルディスカッションが催された。
　今、国内外、そしてもとより金沢市民からも高い評価を受ける金沢21世紀美術館は、
　秋元雄史氏が館長だった10年間の努力と手腕によるところが多い。
　工芸の専門家として様々なチャンネルをもつ秋元雄史氏は、日本國の文化行政にとっても大切な存在なのだ。

　Tokyo University of Fine Art museum director Akimoto Yuri published "Marvellous Kanazawa”
　 which now is popular.

　Ceramic artist Nakamura Takuo, lacquer artist Yamamura Shinya and I talked in the panel discussion for the
　commemorated publication with Akimoto Yuji.

　Mr. Akimoto Yuji shears various channels to the public and it is also important existence for cultural
　administration of a Japanese country as a specialist of arts and crafts.

　亡くなる直前まで生きると信じて病に立ち向かっていた母
　しかし、振り返ると不思議なこともある

　6月8日
　私の誕生日に家族やスタッフを集めて夕食会を開いてくれた

　6月18日
　祖父の33回忌、祖母の50回忌を催し、全国から親族を招いた

　そして6月25日朝
　家族皆に見守られて、天国にいる妹へと旅立った。

　癌だと告げられて泣いた母
　辛かったけど必死に耐えた母

　たくさんの人が参列した葬儀が終わっても、今も我家へ弔問に訪れる方々が続いている。

　7月4日朝
　裏千家鵬雲斎大宗匠が、台風で大雨の中をお参りにお越しいただいた。
　何て有難いことなのだろうか

　3月に外務省の招聘による日系アメリカ人リーダー・グループが我家を訪れた。
　その際、アイリーン イノウエ会長（故ダニエル 井上上院議員夫人）に、母がお菓子や茶碗を運んだのだが、
　これが実は母にとって最後の公の場ともなった。

　その時の写真が国際交流基金のウェブマガジン「をちこちMagazine」に掲載される知らせがあったのは、
　亡くなる前の日だったのだ。

　偶然　必然　自然　繋がっているのかな？
　天国に旅立った母を見守って下されば幸いです

　My mother who was believing to live even just before passing away, But when I look back, it's strange.

　June 8
　She gathered the family and staff and held a dinner party on my birthday.

　June 18
　Grandfather's 33 time anniversary and grandmother's 50 time anniversary were held and a relative was
　invited from the whole country.

　June 25 Morning
　She was watched by all my family and went to meet my younger sister.

　My mother was told she was cancer and cried,
　I saw each times her tears

　Even if the funeral a lot of people attended ends, a person of consolation to my home also continues now.

　July 4 Morning
　Urasenke Great Grand Tea MasterSen Genshitsu visited in the heavy rain by a typhoon.
　Is itsuch a thankful and wonderful moment !

　A Japanese American leader group which depends on invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in March,
　they visited my home. In the case,
　my mother carried a sweet and a bowl of tea to Chairperson Irene Inoue (late Senator Daniel Inoue wife),
　and this involved her last official place actually.

　It was just 1 day before her passed away to ask permission to use picture for web magazine of
　Japan Foundation "CHIKOCHI.

　coincidence, inevitable, and nature, is it connected?
　I should be very much appreciated if you watch my mother who started a trip in heaven.

　昼頃、病院に見舞いに行った。駐車場は満車状態で、やっとスペースを見つけ車を停めた。

　私の車の左側は色あせた赤のヤンキー車で、何となく不安だった。
　しかし、他にスペースがない。車種と車番を覚えて病院の中に入った。

　1時間後、駐車場に戻るとその車はすでにいなかった。
　そして私の車の左側後方には、鍵などによる傷が50センチぐらい付けられていた。

　車種と車番がわかっても証拠はない。
　無傷の愛車だったのに、私の心の傷も深い。
　みなさんからの、いいね！これで我慢します。
　でも、どうしてそんなことするのかな？

　Around noon, I visited to the hospital. I finally could find only one parking spot from full.

　The old red yankee car was parked already in the left side of my car.
　I also could imagine that driver maybe scratched my car. But there isn't other space.
　I remembered the car type and a vehicle number and entered in the hospital.

　When I returned to a parking lot 1 hour later, there wasn't a car already.
　And about 50 centimeters of scratched in behind the left side of my car.

　Even if the car type and a vehicle number has noted,but there is no evidence.
　Though it was an unbroken favorite car, my heart is also seriously injured.
　From everyone, if you give me a 'like' I would be better.
　But why is such thing done?

 


　曽祖父 八代長左衞門が亡くなって90年
　祖父　 九代長左衞門が亡くなって33年
　　　　　 　　　祖母が亡くなって50年
　全国から親族が集まり手を合わせた
　そして元気に父は90歳、母は83歳をやがてむかえる
　有難いことだ。全てに感謝しなければならない

　Great-grandfather 8th chozaemon passes away, and, 90 years.
　Grandfather 9th Chozaemon passes away, and, 33 years.
　Grandmother passes away, and, 50 years
　Relatives gathered from the whole country and pray together.
　And my father will be 90years old and mother will be 83 years old soon vigorously.
　I have to be thankful for everything.

　日本現代工芸美術展の巡回展が金沢で開催されている。
　そんな梅雨の快晴の日、裏千家石川支部青年部と我々作家が一緒に催した茶会に、約400人の人々が参席してくれた。
　伝統と現代、工芸は様々な発信力を秘めている。
　毎年、この茶会から新しい茶のかたちを我々作家は学んでいる。

　Japan Arts and crafts exhibition is held at Kanazawa.
　It was rainy season but was beautiful clear day,
　The people about 400 were attended for our tea ceremony by which artists and together with Urasenke Ishikawa 　branch youth department.

　Tradition and contemporary arts and crafts keep the various sending power.
　every year, we are artists is learning for the new way of tea from this tea ceremony.

　I was invited to a dinner conversazione of the Minister of Foreign Affairs sponsorship and reported
　activity of myself with the local economic Leader.
　Kanazawa has wrestled variously in order to send charm of the arts and crafts globally.
　A minister is advocated, "local to the world" I think It coincide with Kanazawa's former effort.

　米国ピドモン大学の学生18人が私を訪ねてきた。18年続くこのプログラムの引率者は、私の米国留学時代の後輩であり、
　金沢の私の工房で弟子でもあったプレストン サンダース教授とクリストファー ケリー教授。
　学生達にとって、この金沢での時間が、貴重な想い出となることだろう。

　Piedmont College at Atlanta students have visited me.
　A leader of this program which continues for 18 years is Prof.
　Preston Saunders who was also a apprentice of my studio in Kanazawa.
　and Prof. Christopher Kelly and him are both junior in my American studying abroad.
　I hope they never forget this memory to share with me in Kanazawa.

 


　裏千家の巡回講師として招かれた。
　遠藤連 北海道議会議長、松野哲 岩見沢市長、行松　宏展 全国委員会委員長、そして北海道内の裏千家幹部、
　青年部など150名が集まった。

　「襲名は時代錯誤なのか？」

　私に影響を与えた人達、茶道と現代アート、新しい襲名の在り方などを話させてもらった。

　主管した宮川寛隆 青年部北海道ブロック長はじめ道内の青年部皆様の心あるおもてなしに、深く感謝しています。
　帰る際には皆さんが駅まで見送りいただき感激でした。

　It was invited as a Urasenke lecturer. Hokkaido prefectural assembly chairperson Mr Ren Endo,
　Mayor of Iwamizawa Satoshi Matsuno and 150 people gathered Urasenke people from Hokkaido youth
　department and all of Japan.

　"Is succession an anachronism?"

　I talked about people who had an influence on me, about the state of the tea ceremony,
　the contemporary art and the new succession.

　I am very much appreciated by the supervised Hirotaka Miyagawa youth Hokkaido block president and
　everybody's sensible hospitality. When my returning, everyone had see off to the station and it was
　impression.

　日本中が晴れ
　北海道岩見沢まで講演に出かける
　何て美しい日本

　All of Japan is unusual fine weather today
　I will go to Hokkaido Iwamizawa for my lecture
　Such a beautiful Japan

 


　幼き頃 、小学校のグランドで皆んなで野球するのが楽しみだった。
　しかし、大人がやって来ては場所を奪ってしまわれるのが常だった。
　僕達は、先生にお願いしてグランドを奪還したことがある。自分達のグランドだから当然だし、その事が本当に嬉しかった。
　しばらくして、またあの大人達がリベンジにやってきた。彼らは僕らをめがけてノックをはじめだのだ。
　ボールが怖いので仕方なく退散した。そして、あれから僕らは集まって野球をしなくなってしまった。
　この記憶にプラスされているのは、あの大人のリーダーを彼らは村山さんと呼んでいた事だ。
　あの時、僕達は子供だから戦えなかったが、ずっと悔しい想い出なのだ。

　今日、夢にあの村山が登場、あの時の僕は勝った。50年のリベンジ。
　夢って面白い。

　We always together played baseball when we were kindergarten. One day some adults came over and stopped
　our play then they're playing.
　We told to teachers and we could play again. We were so satisfied that grand returned us.
　However, one day they came back and hit the balls to us and it revengeful returned them again.
　We scared and could not say anything also did not play anymore since that time.
　I still remember this moment and that leader was called Murayama.

　I had a dream today and that Murayama showed up and I won from him.
　It is my revenge from 50 years.

 


　CT検査を受診
　造影剤によって体内が次第に温かくなっていく。
　しかし、しばらくすると目が熱くなり、くしゃみの連発、その後、点滴を打ったが目は殴られたように腫れてしまった。

　不運にも造影剤使用に伴う副作用

　100人に3人ほど発生するらしい。
　ごくまれだが、免疫系の劇症反応であるアナフィラキシーショックが起きると、呼吸困難や血圧低下で死亡することもあるらしい。
　私のアレルギー反応は不運だが、今後、造影CT検査は受けれないそうだ。

　主治医の献身なる対応に感謝するのみだ。
　そして、私は健康であることが判明。
　神、仏、親、全てに感謝しながら生きていくつもり。

　I had a medical CT check today. The inside my body is becoming warm gradually by contrast medium.
　But when it was done for a while, an eye was hot, and I got an intravenous injection to firing of a sneeze after that.
　but I almost looked like hit my eye.

　中野秀光社長、鈴木裕紀ヘッドコーチ、月野雅人キャプテンをはじめとしたチームは、今や金沢市民の誇りとなった。
　そして、その選手達は私に　もファミリーのような存在だ。

　スポーツとアートが共存する街、金沢！

　Our professional basketball team started by all my fellow was only 1 season, and up league to B2 from B3.
　That result was supported by Booster and mass communication.
　A team such as President Hidemitsu Nakano, Head coach Yuki Suzuki and Captain Masato Tsukino was
　pride of Kanazawa citizens already. And the players are existence like a family for me, too.
　The town and Kanazawa where Art coexists with a sport! I am looking forward to progress from now on.

 


　昔、中学を終え寂しくも私は金沢を離れた。そして高等部、大学と玉川学園で多くを学んだ。
　日本人、国際人としての在り方、そして、英語が話せるようになったのもこの学校のお陰だ。

　I left Kanazawa from High School and learned until university at this institution.
　I was educated how we should be learned as Japanese with globalization.

　It was guidance by President Yoshiaki Obara and it was also realized 1st Prsident Dr. Kuniyoshi Obara.

　I walked in campus, and my memory came back from my old school days which I have time-travelled

　Then Tamagawa's motto came up. it quite wonderful message now.

　5月24日から30日まで開催される大阪高島屋での個展。今日は、120人を超える外商部の方々へ作品説明を行った。

　高島屋創立110周年、大樋焼開窯350年、そして私の11代襲名が重なり、高島屋美術部が総力上げての記念展となる。
　そして、大阪に住む茶道仲間が呈茶などで支えてくれる。何て有難いことだろう。感謝

　朝、金沢駅から大阪駅に着いた。
　地下鉄 御堂筋線に乗りたいが道に迷う。
　エスカレーターを降りる途中、御堂筋線の表示が消える。降りてから反対見ると表示が！
　そんなのわからない！
　大阪は私を嫌いなのかな？

　隈研吾氏の設計による巨大なギャラリーが台北に出来た。
　ギャラリー内では、有難いことに、私の現代アートの作品を陳列してくれている。

　A huge gallery by a design of Kengo Kima was built in Taipei.
　I found my contemporary work was displaying in the gallery. I have to appreciate for this opportunity.

 


　両都市は友好都市として交流が深い
　今日、台南RCと金沢香林坊RCは、頼清徳 台南市長、山野之義 金沢市長の立会いのもとで友好締結の覚書を台南で交わした。
　正式調印は金沢香林坊RC創立30周年を記念して、来年2月10日に金沢で交わされる。
　その時、私は会長を務めていることになっている。
　今回、参加した金沢香林坊RC14名のミッションは大成功だった。
　そして、台南と金沢、文化交流がさらに深化していくことだろう。

　Both our exchange is deep as a friendly city between two cities.
　Tainang RC and Kanazawa Korinbo RC also exchanged a memorandum of a friendship conclusion at Tainang
　under Mayor Kanazawa's session.
　Formal signing will commemorate 30th anniversary of Kanazawa Korinbo RC establishment,
　and is exchanged at Kanazawa on February 10 of next year. I'm going to be serving as a chairperson.
　More Tainang, Kanazawa and cultural exchange will be deeper and deeper.

 


　台南・烏山頭(うさんとう)ダムを建設し、台湾の開発に人生を捧げた八田與一(はったよいち・金沢市出身)は昭和17年(1942)5月8日が没した。
　毎年、八田の命日には墓前祭が行なわれてきたが、先般、八田の銅像についてはたいへん残念な事件が起こってしまった。
　今回は、頼清徳 台南市長、山野之義 金沢市長などをはじめとして多くの方々が参列し、新たな絆が深まった気がする。
　私も金沢香林坊RCからの来賓として参加させて頂いたが、
　台湾でそれだけ慕われている日本人がいたことに感謝しながら、手を合わさせて頂いた。

　May 8, 1942 it is the Memorial Day of Hatta yoichi (was born in Kanazawa) which constructed Tainang Wushantou Dam
　and offered a life to Taiwanese development.
　Memorial service in front of his grave has been performed every year,
　but recently, a very regrettable accident has happened about Hatta's bronze statue.
　This time, Tainang mayor William Lai and Kanazawa mayor Yukiyoshi Yamano ,
　many persons are attracted and thought new bond deepened as the beginning.
　I participated as a guest, also,
　I was thankful that there was one Japanese by whom yearned for in Taiwan, then I was deeply praying.

　22日、講演を終えて、金沢に移動された大宗匠と夕食を共にさせて頂いた。
　23日、我家でゆっくりとした時間の中、作陶なども楽しまれた。そして、再び夕食。
　24日、朝、金沢駅までお見送りさせて頂いた。

　昔から我が子のように心配してくださる大宗匠。
　多くの御言葉が脳裏に焼き付いている。
　有り難いことだ。

　finished a lecture and moved to Kanazawa on the 22nd.I had dinner together with the great master.

　During time done slowly at my home then tea Bowl making was enjoyed on the 23rd.And again, dinner.
　On the 24th, I saw off to Kanazawa station in the morning.

　The great master who worries like I am his child from the past.

　大宗匠が寄贈された石川県小松市にある茶室・玄庵が20周年を迎えた。
　それを記念しての講演会が催され、日本語、歴史、慣習など再認識する必要性を説かれた。
　94歳になられた大宗匠。その美しい出で立ちと心に染み入るお言葉にだれもが感動したはずだ。

　併催された記念茶会にも随行させて頂き、和田　愼司小松市長はじめ関係者の方々に感謝申し上げます。

　今日は開幕式。古田肇 岐阜県知事、日比野克彦 岐阜県美術館館長などが出席。
　岐阜県は69回続いた県展をリセットして、このトリエンナーレを企画した。

　4.8メートル×4.8メートル×3.6メートル高さ
　このような制約があっての自由に、応募790点、入選15点、そして大賞500万円、審査員賞100万円×7点。

　岐阜県は真剣だ。黒子に徹した関係者への敬意と、審査員として推挙頂いたことに感謝します。
　私自身、勉強になりました。

　Today is the opening day.
　Gifu Prefecture reset a following 69 times prefecture exhibition and planned this triennale.

　4.8 meters x 4.8 meters x 3.6 meters Cube space.
　It looks limited but it is also freely, 790 applications, 15 works accepted, the first prize of 5,000,000 yen
　and 1,000,000 yen x 7 works of judge prize.
　Gifu prefecture is serious.

　I respect that relate people is in the shadows and I was recommended as judge. I myself could study.

　冬、入院もしたが、それでも制作を繰り返した。

　何故、造り続けるの？
　「想いが止まらない」父らしい答えだった。
　これで、しばらく大きな個展はしないそうだ。

　100歳に向かって新たな精進
　まさに生かされている証なのかもしれない。

　私と全く同じ期日なので立ち会えない。
　準備までしたが多少心配。

　My father, soon, 90 years old.

　"Feelings don't stop." it was a response appropriate for my father.

　極限に美しいのに、何故か悲しくなる。

　Mr. Shigeru Saito is my important friend and he is CEO of TOSE which is the largest company of a
　game software makes.
　A garden party for cherry blossom viewing is held at his second house
　in Kyoto circled by a cherry tree every year, and a lot of guests are invited. And I!
　I'm thankful for his hospitality and various encounters!

　Art Award In the Cube 2017の二次審査のために、朝、新幹線で東京から岐阜へ移動。

　古田肇 岐阜県知事、日比野克彦 岐阜県美術館館長、関係者、審査員などとの打ち合わせを兼ねた昼食会があり、
　その後、真剣な審査が行われた。

　テーマである「身体のゆくえ」
　このコンペには幅広い応募があり、大賞受賞者には500万円、7人の各審査員賞には100万づつの賞金となっており、
　審査員自身が羨むほどの国内屈指のコンペとなっている。
　受賞者の今後の活躍と未来が楽しみだ。

　I move from Tokyo to Gifu by Shinkansen in the morning for a secondary judge of Art Award In the Cube 2017.

　There was a luncheon combined with a meeting with Hajime Furukawa Gifu prefectural governor,
　Katsuhiko Hibino Museum of Fine Arts, Gifu director, the person concerned and a judge, and after that,
　it was judged seriously.

　The "future of the body which is a theme.
　This exhibition has a wide application, and it is 5,000,000 yen for the highest award and 1,000,000 yen
　for each 7 judge prize.

　and is an outstanding competition. It's pleasant for artists future's achievement and future.

 


　東京藝術大学大学院建築学科を首席で卒業。
　そして、吉田五十八賞、サロン・ド・プランタン賞の二つを受賞した。

　聞こえは良いが、、、

　一年の浪人と留年の大学時代を過ごした。
　二年の休学で多治見市陶芸意匠研究所に通う。
　冬の洗面所では、彼のコンタクトレンズは凍っていた。そして、大学院に復学。

　彼の挫折は数えきれない。その都度、泣きながら苦難を乗り越えてきた。
　しかし、、、
　励ましも褒めた事もない私。そして私の父も同じだ。

　とりあえず長い彼の学生時代も終わったようだ。

　He graduated from Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music graduate school of architecture by the head.
　And he could receive 2 awards, it was Yoshida Isoya prize and Salon de Printemps prize.

　The sounds is good, but he prepared for the entrance exam 1 year and had stay another year longer in the
　same class.

　Entered to the graduate school then absence 2 years for going to Tajimi-city ceramics design research center.
　His restroom in winter , his contact lens froze at that time.
　And he returned to a graduate school again.

　It can't be counting many of his collapse until today. He was crying certainly and tried to challenge to replace.
　However I didn't also praise an encouragement.My father is also same way,

　Anyway His long school days seem to be end now.

　幼少の頃からいつも不思議だった。
　そんなギネスのような君を私は知っている
　街は大きく変わったが、君は変わらない。
　酒に酔う半袖姿の花見客、肌寒いのに不思議に思ってる？

　デービッド・ロックフェラーさんが亡くなった。１０１歳。
　金沢の我家を訪れて来られたこともあり、茶碗を作り、書画にも挑まれた。
　あの時の茶席での会話は一生の思い出ともなっている。
　ニューヨークにも招かれたこともある。ロックフェラーセンターの１フロアー全体が、ロックフェラー氏のオフィスだった。
　アートに溢れたあの空間は別世界だった。
　我家に残されていった遺作は私の宝物。
　ご冥福を祈ります。

　David Rockefeller (June 12, 1915 – March 20, 2017)
　He has visited my home in Kanazawa, and made tea bowls, challenged painting,
　writings and tea ceremony.
　I never forget that conversation in my life.
　I was also invited to New York. The whole 1 floor of Rockefeller Center was Mr. Rockefeller's office.
　That space which flooded art was a different world.
　Some of his works were left for my home is my treasure.
　I wish for rest in peace.

 


　日本版ダボス会議と呼ばれるもので、今後の日本、世界を担っていくリーダーたちが学び、交流する場として、
　北海道ルスツリゾートを会場に３月18日から20日まで３日間開催された。

　「文化資本の世界への発信I ～新たな価値創造と伝統の文脈～」 池坊専好さん、田中大さん、
　御立尚資さんと共にパネラーとして、私も登壇させて頂いた。

　堀義人グロービス経営大学院学長が提唱されて9回目となる「Ｇ１サミット」は、これからの日本を変えていくに違いない。

　It was held for 3 days from March 18 to the 20th at Hokkaido Rusutsu resort.
　This event site as the place where the leaders who are being called Japan edition Davos meeting and are carrying
　future’s Japan and world learn and interchange.
　Politics, economy, culture, technology and the environment were the wide field,
　and the exchange of views with the respective persons was very meaningful.
　I took the platform as a member and panel with Ikenobo Yuki next representative family.
　Globes management graduate school president Yoshito Hori is advocated and becomes the 9th time. It must change
　Japan from the "G1 Summit"

 


　小松弥助主人 森田一夫氏、私が最も敬愛する職人。
　一昨年、83歳で引退宣言
　店を閉める際、男の「包丁納め」を私だけが立ち会った。
　しかし、彼の眼光は鋭いもので、主人は再起する！私の直感だった。

　そして、私の予言通りに彼は復活を遂げた

　開店前日の静かな夜
　８５歳、男の「包丁開き」に立ち会った
　こんな時間を共有させてもらえて、人生って素晴らしい。

　Sushi Restaurant Komatsu Yasuke Master Craftsman Kazuo Morita, I love and respect him the most.
　He said retirement by 83 years old and it was two years ago.

　I only attended for the occasion of " Closing of the master craftsman's kitchen knife.
　But his power of observation is a sharp, and I realized that he would recover! It was my intuition.

　And he has achieved a recovery on my prediction.

　Quiet night of the opening previous day

　外務省に加え、アイリーン・ヒラノ・イノウエ 米日カウンシル会長（故ダニエル・イノウエ上院議員夫人）をはじめとして、
　日系アメリカ人リーダーが日本文化理解のための視察として金沢を訪問。そして我家を視察された。

　全米各地を拠点とする日米関係のリーダー達は、日本への深い洞察力を持ち合わせている。
　私の米国での活動や経験をもとに、日本の文化の行く末などについて話し合った。

　この機会を与えていただいた外務省そして国際交流基金日米センターに深く感謝申し上げます。

　The Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Irene Hirano Inoue (late Senator Daniel Inoue wife) USA
　and Japan Council chairperson with 10 Japanese American leader calls on Kanazawa as an inspection
　for Japanese culture understanding as the beginning. And they visited my home.

　The relations between Japan and the United States' leaders based in all areas with the deep penetration to Japan.
　My activity at USA and experience, and, the Japanese cultural future was discussed.

　I'll appreciate the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership which
　gave this chance deeply.

　金沢市、金沢市工芸協会が主催するこの公募展は、若手作家の登竜門であり伝統から現代アートにまで及ぶ。
　審査会、陳列、ギャラリートーク、表彰式、レセプション、茶会などが催され、
　この展覧会によって育てていただいた私は、今、副理事長として支えさせていただいている。

　City of Kanazawa and Kanazawa Crafts Council held this exhibition and areit is said that gateway of the young
　artists and even come to contemporary art from tradition.
　A judgeing, a display, a gallery talk, an awards ceremony, a reception and a tea ceremony held.
　I was bring up from this exhibition, I am resisting as a deputy director now.

 


　昨晩のコンサートを終えて、今日、明日、石井竜也さんは私の工房で制作する。

　朝、ホテルに迎えにいったのだが、多勢のファンが集まっていた。そして、その後に立ち寄った我家にも！
　彼のファンクラブは、ファミリーのように私も受け入れてくれていて、全国どこでも声をかけてくれる。嬉しいことだ。

　彼は疲れ切っている。
　しかし、限界であっても一旦土にふれはじめると、嬉しそうに作り始めたのだった。

　Last night's concert is finished and he is produced at my studio today and tomorrow.
　I went to a hotel and pick him in the morning, many fans gathered. And at my home also.

　His fan club accepts me like a family, too, and, nationwide, they speak to me everywhere.

　It is a wonderful thing.
　He tires. But when even the limit began to touch clay once, he had begun to seem happy and starts to make.

 


　オーケストラ・アンサンブル金沢と競演してのシンフォニックコンサート。
　全国から多勢のファンが集まった。
　オーケストラと歌える人はそんなにいないことは、私でもわかる。
　彼は正しくタレンティブなスターであることを改めて実感した。

　An orchestra and ensemble Kanazawa and him had compsymphonic concert.

　Many fans gathered from the whole country.
　Even I find out that there aren't an orchestra and a person who can sing together.

　He is very much talent and I realized once more that he is a star.

 


　金沢に公式訪問され、JCの世界大会で基調講演をされた。
　妃殿下には、23年前の寛仁殿下との我家への御成以来、公私共にお世話になっている。
　テーマは「伝統と伝承」私の襲名のことにも触れていただき、大切な気付きの時間だった。

　今回の二度目の御成。光栄なことでした
　尽力いただいた柴田剛介元会頭始め金沢JC関係者、皇宮警察、地元警察関係の方々、本当にありがとうございました。

　Princess Nobuko-sama made an official visit to Kanazawa and did a keynote speech by a world congress of JCI.
　And a theme was “Tradition and Transmission” also had a talk about my succession,
　time of important regaining consciousness.

　Since Onari (highnesss visiting) to my home with Prince Tomohito Mikasa 23 years ago,
　since that time it's under care of official and personal affairs from Highness.
　Onari of this second time. It was s honor again.

　Thank you very much for former Japan JC president Kousuke Shibata, Kanazawa JC,
　Imperial Guards and local police and all related peoplee.

 


　今年、全国3万5千人のリーダーが青木照護会頭だ。
　昨年、G1サミット浜松でもお会いした。
　JC! JC! JC!
　遠い昔、私も会員だった。懐かしい想い出がたくさんある。
　今、現役の方々がとても若く見える。歳をとった証拠だ！
　それでも、様々に彼らと今でも交流できていることは嬉しい限りだ。

　青木会頭、同行いただいた柴田剛介元JC会頭、塚本泰央金沢JC理事長、わざわざありがとうございました。

　A leader from 35,000 people of whole country is this year. president Aoki Syogo.
　I met him at G1 Summit Hamamatsu last year.
　JC! JC! JC!
　I was a member the far past, too. There are many dear memories.

　Active members look very young now, that means I became old man.
　However I can still continue to relate many activities with them, I'm happy.
　Thank you very much for president Aoki Syogo,
　Past Pesident Shibata Kousuke and Kanazawa JC president Tsukamoto Yasuo.

 


　石川県立中央病院の真前に、あおぞら薬局が新たたな店舗を完成させた。
　これは、私の設計監修のもとにスーパープレミアムな薬局を提案していく中での2店舗目となる。

　宇宙-地球-青空をテーマとして、全長２０メートルを超える壁は、金沢・石動左官の技術と私の陶芸から生まれたものだ。
　訪れた人々が調剤が終わるまで、快適な時間を過ごして頂ければ幸いだ。

　これからも、伝統と現代を融合させたアートな空間を提案していきたい。

　This will be 2nd store at where the super premium pharmacy under my design supervision is being proposed.

　A wall beyond 20 meters of full length was born from technology of Kanazawa Isurugi plasterer and my ceramics
　with the theme of the universe - earth - blue sky.
　I should be very much obliged if it is possible to spend comfortable time when the people visited and until
　dispensation ends.

　Now, I'd like also to propose the art space from tradition and contemporary which made modernity fused.

 


　目黒区と金沢市、加賀藩主前田家の歴史をシェアすることで関係が深い。
　我家も前田家、裏千家のお陰で今がある。
　そんな縁のお陰で、青木英二 目黒区長が訪れてくれた。そして、区長との会話は実に楽しい時間だった。

　互いがプロバスケットボールチームもあり、対戦もある。
　目黒区とは、スポーツ、茶道、工芸、様々な文化チャンネルがある。これからの交流が楽しみだ。

　It shares history in Meguro-ku and Kanazawa by Kaga seigneur Maeda family,
　and I have a small close relation.
　My family history is created also by Maeda family and Urasenke. Fortunately, there is now.

　Meguro-ku chief Mr. Eiji Maeda and I had nice conversation with very fun time.

　Mutual can have a professional basketball team and interchange.
　A sport, a tea ceremony, arts and crafts and various cultural channels we can share with Meguro-ku.

 


　カナダの公用語は英語とフランス語。この機内誌にかなり取材されたけど、日本語がなくて残念。読んだ人いるかな？

　この航空会社、バンクーバー往復で乗ったことあるけど機内もサービスもかなりハイグレードだった。

　A Canadian official language is English and French. It was big interview on by this in-flight magazine fairly,
　but there is no Japanese, and it's regrettable. Is there a person who read?

　This airline had taken it by Vancouver round trip before, also it was quite high grade in onboard and service.

　井手勇次選手が今日のMVPに選ばれ、私がプレゼンターを務めさせて頂いた。
　チームはフロント、コーチ、選手が一体となって勝ち続けている。
　地域にプロスポーツが根付いてきた証があるのだ。私が敬愛する金沢武士団。

　It is Professional basketball team Kanazawa Samuraiz.
　There is home game with Saitama Bronx.
　Player Ide Yuji was chosen as today's MVP, and I served award to him.
　A front, a coach and a player keep winning with perfect mood.
　There is a proof that a professional sport has rooted in local area.
　The Kanazawa Samuraiz I love and respect.
　Go Go Samuraiz !

 


　私の仏間には、祖父、妹、義父、叔父、そしてこれまでのたくさんの知人などがいてくれている。
　昨年の今日、そして同じ時間、私は京都・裏千家において十一代大樋長左衞門を襲名した。
　想定外のことも多々あったけど、全て縁の御蔭で乗り越えれてきた気がする。
　これからは少しずつ恩返しできればとも思う。
　全てに感謝！ そっと手を合わせる。

　My Buddhist room, There are my grandfather, my younger sister,
　a father-in-law, my uncle and former a lot of acquaintances.
　Last year, today and that time, I succeeded to OHI CHOZAEMON XI in Kyoto Urasenke.
　There was some out of assumption, but I can get over everything by grace in an edge.
　I also think I have to repay a little for people now.

　Thank you all ! I join my palms together quietly.

 


　光栄にも文化庁長官アドバイザリーメンバーの委嘱を受けた。そして、その会議が文化庁で開かれた。

　金沢から北陸新幹線で、東京・霞ヶ関と向かう。
　吹雪の地方都市と快晴の日本政府の街。
　極端な感情を抱いてしまうほど、霞ヶ関と言えば、政府、官僚をイメージする特別区でもある。
　経済産業省大臣の諮問委員をしたことはあるが、私にはあまり縁のないエリアでもある。

　会議は、文化庁全体のこれからの施策説明があり、その後とてもハイレベルな議論が繰り返された。
　生まれ育ってきた金沢を私が想うのは当たり前だが、それだけではない、文化芸術立国として日本はどうすべきなのか？
　選ばれた素晴らしいメンバーの方々と考えていきたいと思う。

　I am honor to received for Agency Cultural Affairs chief advisory member.
　And the meeting was held by that Agency today.

　It's the Hokuriku area Shinkansen from Kanazawa to Tokyo Kasumigaseki .
　Local city of a snowstorm and town of Japanese Government was mostly sunny.

　When saying Kasumigaseki so that means the special ward where a government and bureaucracy are located.
　I have been a consultation commissioner of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry minister,
　but it still remains me that area does not related for me.

　There was a future policy explanation of the whole this Agency for a meeting,
　and very high-level argument was talked after that.
　It's natural for me to think of Kanazawa who was born and has grown up,
　but important thing is how we could build up about the cultural art nation of Japan.
　I'd like to regard with chosen wonderful members.

 


　裏千家始祖、仙叟居士を偲ぶ茶会が明治時代から金沢で続いている。
　遠い昔、加賀藩主五代前田綱紀候の命により、仙叟居士は京都から金沢に招かれ、初代大樋長左衞門を堂々させた。
　その後、仙叟居士は京都に戻り裏千家を興し、その縁で大樋焼は金沢で350年以上続く。
　仙叟居士は、元禄１０年（１６９７年）１月２３日７６歳の生涯を終えた。今日は320年目の大切な命日。
　仙叟居士が眠る金沢・月心寺で茶会が催され、父が席主となり、弟、奈良宗久と共に父を支えた。
　雪の金沢、また家族の想い出ができた。

　The tea ceremony which remembers Urasenke founder and 4th Grand Master Senso continues at Kanazawa
　from Meiji Period.

　Senso was invited by the 5th Tsunanori Maeda to Kanazawa from Kyoto the far past,
　and took Ohi Chozaemon at the same time.
　After that Senso returned to Kyoto and established Urasenke. And Ohi Chozaemon continues
　Ohi Kiln for more than 350 years at Kanazawa.
　Senso has ended life on 76 years old on January 23, 1697. Today is the 320th anniversary of death.

　A tea ceremony was held at Kanazawa where a senso sleeps at Kanazawa Gessonji Temple,
　and my father was the host for memorial Tea ceremony, young brother Nara Sokyu and I supported.
　Kanazawa was snow and we could add the family's memory again.

　応募者は7歳から88歳、老若男女、障害者、学生など実に幅広く、来年は30回の節目となる。

　第1回目、私はまだ28歳。あれからずっと審査員として作品を観てきた。その間、私なりに多くを学んで来たつもりだ。
　しかし、この挑戦者達には既成概念が無い。
　それは、私自身の再確認の場でもあるのだ

　From 7 years old to 88 years old, men and women of all ages, a person with disabilities and a student,
　all applicant is very wide. Also it will be 30 times in next year.

　The 1st time and I, still, 28 years old.
　From that time I have seen works. Meanwhile I'm going to learn many things.
　But these challengers have no established concepts.
　That's also a place by my own reconfirmation.

 


　昨年、父は茶道文化賞を受賞した。そして今日、有難いことに裏千家石川支部の方々がお祝いの会を催してくれた。
　弟 奈良宗久と共に私も招待を受けて出席した。
　89歳の父、最低でも100歳までは現役でいると言う。
　天から与えられた命を大切に芸術人生に全うしてほしい。そしてさせることが息子の使命かもしれない。
　雪の降る金沢。良い街に生まれ育ったものだ
　何故か一人、誰もいない、不思議な気持ち

　My father has received a tea ceremony cultural award last year.
　And Urasenke Ishikawa branch members kindly held a congratulatory meeting dinner today.
　My younger brother Sokyu Nara and I attended, too.
　He became 89-year-old and he hopes to be active artist at least 100 years old.
　His life is given from heaven, I want him to spend all his days for own art life importantly.
　And to make him that happen means my mission for being his son.
　Kanazawa, it snows. I was born in a good town and grew up.
　No one is here for no reason. It is mysterious feeling

 


　1998年から始めたこの授業
　世界中からの留学生に教えてきた。
　茶道を体験、陶芸で作品制作、そして展覧会と茶会。5回の授業で金沢文化を知り、大きな想い出としてほしい。

　This tuition who has begun from 1998.
　I have been told to a foreign students from all over the world.
　Share the tea, make ceramics work, exhibition and tea ceremony all these experiences.
　I hope they can feel Kanazawa culture by 5 times of session and want them to have a big memory.

 


　私のプロデュースする建築は左官壁を用いる事が多い。
　平見夕紀さんと私のアートワークがある場で、金沢の石動左官の職人さん達と積み重ねてきた20年を語った。

　1月22日、テレビ金沢、いしかわ大百科「職人技を暮らしに ～左官で商品開発～にて」放映予定。

　There are a lot of works I am working for my art work with Kanazawa Isurugi Sakan Craftmen for
　my art work for 20 years. I had a interview with Ms Hirami Yuki for Television program.
　It will be January 22 on TV Kanazawa. Ishikawa Daihyakka.

 


　今年初めの番組ゲスト。
　川瀬裕子アナウンサーと15分前に打ち合わせ。
　でもスタッフの皆様とほとんど別の話題。
　いわゆるぶっつけ本番。

　話題は、私の襲名。金沢文化、そして、今話題の新しく金沢に出来る国立工芸館など。
　あの打ち合わせは気軽に話せるためだったのか！
　やはり彼らはプロなのだ！笑
　楽しく話せた20分間だった。

　I am the first guest for this.program in this year.

　It was the meeting before 15 minutes with Announcer Kawase Yuko .
　But staff & I almost talked different topics.
　So-called acting without rehearsal performance.

　A topic is my succession. Kanazawa culture and newly the National Crafts Museum will move from Tokyo to Kanazawa .
　Was that meeting because you could speak casually! They're a professional as expected!
　It was 20 minutes when I could speak happily.

　毎年、除夜の鐘を聞きながら、私が得度した寺で経を唱えている。
　また、新しい年がやってきた。
　朝、仏壇、神棚、庭の松、そして、窯場の神棚、墓参り、それぞれの場所で参拝をするのだが、
　それは我家だけの仏事と神事が混合する儀式。
　その後は、床の間にかけられた裏千家4代仙叟居士と初代長左衞門の対座図を家族皆で感謝を捧げ初呈茶を行う。

　子供の時から変わらない正月行事。私の祖父母、妹はいなくなってしまったが、両親、弟家族、私の子供達がその空間にいる。
　変わらない事を続けていても、変わりゆく人の存在。無常に思えると絆があることを知る。
　元旦は、いつも同じ事を考えてしまう。でも、皆が元気に集まれることは本当に有難いことだ。神に仏に感謝しなければならない。

　I am praying with listening temple bells at my at my Buddhist priesthood temple. Then new years has come.
　I prayed family Buddhist altar, pine in a garden,,,,,,etc
　After that, the Urasenke 4th Sen Soshitsu Senso and my 1st generation Ohi Chozaemon,
　they both was draw for the hanging scroll with our appreciations.
　It doesn't change from child's time, but my grandparents and younger sister are not together anymore.
　My parents, the younger brother family and my family are in the space.It mast be disappeared,
　but we are also realized and shared our bond.
　New Year's Day always considers the same thing. But it's that I'm really thankful that everyone can gather vigorously.
　I have to be thankful for a existence of god and of Buddh.
